Why We Like The KEEN Targhee IV Mid WP Hiking Boot
We like our hiking boots to be comfortable, which is why we like the KEEN Targhee IV Mid WP hiking boot. This boot has Luftcell foam embedded in the midsole for extra cushioning while the KEEN fit gives our toes a little more wiggle room. We also like the look and feel of the Targhee's soft yet protective leather uppers, which have been sourced from tanneries certified by the Leather Working Group. New for 2024, the 4th iteration of the Targhee is more durable than its popular predecessors with a new glue-free KEEN.FUSION bond that won't delaminate and also features a few cosmetic tweaks that distinguish it from the older Targhees.

Terrible arch - kneeproblems
Targhee IV a my replacement for Targhee III, where the uppersole/sole line lasted less than 3 months normal use. T IV looks nice and is easyer to tie. The inside of the boot feels higher, but it is also more narrow - especialy in the toe, which is a disadvantage with the orthopedia soles I am using. The boots has been warn in temperatures around the freezing point. To my surprise the feet felt cold the first 20 minuts. Never happend before. Unfortunate I recently have developed a right kneeproblem after wearing the boots for 5 hours. I think the old style Keen's with real leather had better qualities and wearability back.

Good, but. . .
This is my 5th pair of Keen boots. As always, they're comfortable/ready to wear right out of the box, lightweight and appear to be solidly constructed. The only negative is the fit this time. I ordered the same size as I always have worn in Keen (although there was a suggestion to downsize in the description). One boot is slightly loose, but the other is definitely a bit too big - though not a complete half size. Hopefully I can get around the issue by tightening the laces more and wearing my thicker socks.

Great all around boot
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Great all around boot that is not too masculine. Nice comfortable and seems well made.

Comfortable but already breaking
I own many pair of Targhees and these were the first to disappoint. On the third wear, the lace keeper ripped. Does it affect the actual boot, no, but I expect better from Keene.

Love these hiking boots
These new boots are so comfortable. They are a bit lighter than the last Keen boots that I've been wearing.

Great boots
I’ve worn these boots out hiking a few times now. They’re comfortable and sturdy. No blisters, even straight out of the box.

Comfortable
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I’ve only been able to use these a couple times but overall I’d say they are super comfortable and durable. I wore them once all day in nature and I will say I was surprised how well they supported. No pain. Definitely recommend

Hip pain
I had high hopes for this boot. A waterproof boot going into Winter? Yes! I am all over that. I was very disappointed once I got these home and actually wore them on a hard surface. It was as if I had strapped on 2 X 4s. I kept wearing them for a week-10 days until I developed a hip issue, which has gone away once I stopped wearing them.

Great ankle support
Sturdy and great arch support. Haven't tested its waterproofness. Fit perfectly with a thin sock, If you want to use padded socks, go up a size.

Perfect for the PNW and my Barista job
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I love that these are waterproof, and comfortable even with a tougher exterior, I'm a loyal Keen customer because their shoes last FOREVER they're worth the price. Note: I did have to size half a size down than my original size and it fits perfect, plus they kind of stretch and mold to your feet after a while
