Why We Like The KEEN Targhee IV Mid WP Hiking Boot
We like our hiking boots to be comfortable, which is why we like the KEEN Targhee IV Mid WP hiking boot. This boot has Luftcell foam embedded in the midsole for extra cushioning while the KEEN fit gives our toes a little more wiggle room. We also like the look and feel of the Targhee's soft yet protective leather uppers, which have been sourced from tanneries certified by the Leather Working Group. New for 2024, the 4th iteration of the Targhee is more durable than its popular predecessors with a new glue-free KEEN.FUSION bond that won't delaminate and also features a few cosmetic tweaks that distinguish it from the older Targhees.

Love these hiking boots
These new boots are so comfortable. They are a bit lighter than the last Keen boots that I've been wearing.

Great boots
I’ve worn these boots out hiking a few times now. They’re comfortable and sturdy. No blisters, even straight out of the box.

Comfortable
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I’ve only been able to use these a couple times but overall I’d say they are super comfortable and durable. I wore them once all day in nature and I will say I was surprised how well they supported. No pain. Definitely recommend

Hip pain
I had high hopes for this boot. A waterproof boot going into Winter? Yes! I am all over that. I was very disappointed once I got these home and actually wore them on a hard surface. It was as if I had strapped on 2 X 4s. I kept wearing them for a week-10 days until I developed a hip issue, which has gone away once I stopped wearing them.

Great ankle support
Sturdy and great arch support. Haven't tested its waterproofness. Fit perfectly with a thin sock, If you want to use padded socks, go up a size.

Perfect for the PNW and my Barista job
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I love that these are waterproof, and comfortable even with a tougher exterior, I'm a loyal Keen customer because their shoes last FOREVER they're worth the price. Note: I did have to size half a size down than my original size and it fits perfect, plus they kind of stretch and mold to your feet after a while

Inconsistent sizing
Bought my usual size that I always wear in both Keen and other brands of boots. Wore them on a hike and realized they are a half size too small. My toes painfully hit the end of the boot going downhill. Never had this happen before in this size, and it’s especially weird as all the other reviews say they run large. Keen quality and sizing seem to be getting more and more inconsistent. Unfortunately they are not eligible for a return since they are a warranty replacement

Comfortable!
Great comfort and grip. I love that this boot runs wide since I have wide feet and I wear orthodics. This is my 2nd pair of Keen’s.

Unreliable Sizing
I love the boots but they are huge and I can’t wear them. They feel like a 9, not an 8.5. I’m so disappointed, and out the cost of these boots. Keen’s have been unreliable lately. They used to be my favorite shoes for years and years and years. I’m bummed but I have to quit you, Keen. Too expensive a mistake has been made once again.

Like a glove
As always Keen comes through for me. Even my picky husband was convinced. We researched and tried on all sorts of hiking boots. Took a risk at ordering on your website, as we couldn't try them on, (especially my picky husband). They came and like in Cinderella they were the perfect fit. No princess and the pea issues. True to size, went for a hike right away and no slippage on the heels, no blisters. So comfy. I have worn Keen shoes before and they have rescued me with my plantars fasciitis for years.
