Mounted to my existing NV 2.0 rack very easily and works great. Kuat support is amazing, when I realized it had a different key then my existing built in locks, Kuat sent me the matching lock cores free of charge so I have only one key. They also sent me the ramp mounts for free too. Backcountry also ships fast and accurately, which I appreciate.

WARNING: Opposing MTBs rub.

If you are adding the NV 2.0 add on, I suggest you not buy this rack if you have average MTB frames with average handlebar widths, and plan to carry 4 bikes. The problem is the handlebars of opposing bikes (1 and 3, 2 and 4) will rub and potentially damage your equipment. This is clearly an engineering flaw, and the primary reason Kuat introduced the Piston series, which has tiered trays to remedy the issue (a design obviously borrowed from One-Up). If you carry only two or 3 bikes, not a problem. However, 4 will be. Get the Piston version if you plan to carry 4 bikes. Otherwise, be prepared to play "bike Rubik's cube" to see which ones will rub (or not) and packing towels in between handlebars. Ridiculous.

Excellent and easy upgrade

The one bike add one was perfect for my two bike rack. It is sturdy and looks and feels like it cane with the original 2 bike rack. Easy to install and the functionally is identical.
