Why We Like The Kuat Sherpa 2.0 Bike Rack
We like the Kuat Sherpa 2.0 because it's lightweight, easy to use, and capable of hauling just about any bike around—short of a 50-pound freeride monster. The Sherpa 2.0 supports two bikes up to 40 pounds each, and it features a foot-actuated pivot lever that we can use to unfold the rack, even with our hands full. Kuat modified the design to create a greater 14-inch space between bikes, so they both have plenty of personal space on longer trips.

Don't understand all the positive review
- Familiarity:
- I've used it once or twice and have initial impressions
Doesn't seem to hold my bike firmly no matter what I do. Lots of wobble and don't want to use for any long trips or on the highway . I prefer my $100 sportswing I bought at Walmart 20 years ago. Only positive is it looks good and color matches my black Rav,4

I bought the first version of this rack 12 years ago, and it still works great. I just bought two new ones for my vacation homes. This is a solid rack for both road and mountain bikes.

I just purchased a new triathlon bike, and with the carbon fiber frame, I feel confident my bike is safe and secure on this bike rack. The pricing was reasonable, as the accessories that come with ensure my bike doesn’t move or get scratched.

Great company

I bought this recently after looking at some other options from Kuat. Due to being in the same town as the company it is a very popular local brand around here. The Sherpa is the lightest of the racks I looked at which is great if it won’t just be left on the vehicle. I also bought their kayak racks and when I wanted all of the lock cylinders to match all I had to do was reach out to them and they handled right at their local no questions asked. The quality and ease of use is great, but this one is not expandable for more bike unlike others they make.

Light weight. Low profile
This rack is what I was hoping for. Minimal. No bells and whistles. Just a solid, reliable bike rack. Light weight. 15 lbs less than my OG Kuat rack. Kuat knows how to do it.

Nearly perfect

I bought this to replace my RockyMounts SplitRail, which perished in a rear-end accident. I really like the Sherpa aesthetically--it's compact and clean. I don't like the pivot lever at all. No matter what, it requires two hands or a hand and a foot. The SplitRail (and most Thule & Yakima racks) have an easy-to-use lever that can be used with one hand. Usually when I need to open my hatch, it's b/c I have armloads of stuff to put in there, and this requires me to put things down to pivot the rack and open the hatch. I'd call it a minor design flaw. If the the SplitRail were still available, I would've gone with that, but I'm still happy w/ this purchase overall.

Easiest to use and lightweight!

This is by far the best bike rack I've owned! Very well engineered. The box was even designed to aid in assembly! Very easy to use, very light and excellent construction. Fits all of our bikes with different frame styles. My old rack was difficult to mount bikes with square carbon tubing, and mountain bikes with sloping top tubes. This rack fits them all.

Just Buy It - You Won't Regret

I research a lot before a purchase. Sometimes to the point of analysis paralysis. After comparing this to other brands and asking other riders at an event a few weeks ago it was an easy decision.

Love my Sherpa! Agree with other 5 star reviews. Easy to load bikes which gets me out of the house faster. Looks great and seems well built.
