Definitely recommend going a size larger. I compared the size charts to a jacket I own of similar construction but different brand. The chart read exactly the same, which would actually be a bit roomy, but when I got this vest, the fit was incredibly snug. Other than the misleading fit info, vest looks good and I have no complaints about its features. I can't speak to the durability yet, but this vest was bought for outside work, we'll see.

This vest is amazing, it looks great and stylish, and is very well constructed. It does, as most Kuhl products, seem to be more tailored to an athletic build (cut) so keep the tin mind when ordering. I love mine and already have gotten compliments on it and the shipping from Backcountry is outstanding!

I usually take a medium but read a review that the sizes run small. I ordered a large but it was too tight. I am usually happy with any Kuhl clothing item but this disappointed me.
