These are the best for cold days - hands down, no contest. The wind cannot get through. It takes a looong time for cold to get through - of ever.

Bad fit / save yer $

Good fabric (both the shell twill & the flannel lining) and appears to be well constructed. Unfortunately the fit is terrible. I take a 34/34, and have for the last 20 years. These are the right length and fit (straight, on the slim side but not skinny). The gusset in the crotch tho seems to be in the wrong place (towards the back, why?) and the rise is *way* too short. Makes it very uncomfortable to sit down in these pants, because everything gets bound up tight. Also, and this is more style than function I guess, but it's unclear to me why the back patch pockets start and finish so low. The bottom of the pocket is nearly down to my knee.
