Another innovative feature is the Kuhlair vent, which uses a mesh-lined pocket to circulate cool air inside the short. Renegade: A consistent product line.

I have a mix of Renegade pants, purchased over the past couple of years. My main reason for purchasing is I run my dogs in agility. My dogs are fast! I have to push hard to stay connected over a 30 second run time. These pants are light weight, and loose enough, to support that. Renegades are used on 10 mile bicycle rides to keep me in shape for the dogs. I also wear them to work, and out to dinner regularly. Love them! So why not a five star rating? Two things: 1) I am not happy buying expensive product that is guaranteed to fade. To Kuhl's credit, they at least tell you in product description! Fading with older pairs is minor at this point. 2) Stains. I avoid lighter colors as they are more likely to show stains, which I have not been able to remove. My pants wardrobe is somewhere near 50% Kuhl, so they seem to work out in general. :)

Zippered thigh pockets are nicely positioned and very useful but I'd love to see a zippered pocket inside the hand pockets. I have another pair of shorts from a different brand the has a double hand pockets on one side that is zippered and large enough to hold a phone and small billfold. Great for travelling and browsing in crowded markets, etc.

Nice shorts, except the button

I like these shorts, the length, the cut, the material. However, just a small bit of pressure on the waist and the button comes undone. It's super annoying and if I didn't wear a belt, would be embarrassing.
