Mountain Masterpiece
- Familiarity:
- I've put it through the wringer
- Size Bought:
- 47/13
Possibly the finest shoe I’ve ever worn. A technical mountain trail masterpiece; almost an alpine-mountaineering boot morphed into a perfect running shoe. Comfortable out of the box, though still in need of a proper break-in, they delivered outstanding grip on continuous rock, which gave me supreme confidence in steep sections and on speedy, technical descents. They feel like I can go hard in them all day. I wore them once and immediately purchased a second pair for when the first are toast. VERY highly recommended. Also, I wear a 47/13 in every other Sportiva model I own and these fit perfectly just like the rest. In American shoes I wear a 12. Zero fit problems.

Sizing is off but great shoe
- Familiarity:
- I've used it several times
- Size Bought:
- 11.5
I normally wear a size 10 in most brands. Had to go w an 11.5 w these. Comfort is great, the boa works well. Loads of tracking. The neoprene gator is amazing.

Sizing way off
- Familiarity:
- I returned this product before using it
- Size Bought:
- 47
- Height:
- 6' 1"
- Weight:
- 225
I didn't have the chance to try them due to sizing misinformation. The sizing chart stated that Euro 47 was equivalent to US Mens 13. In reality, they were smaller than US Mens 12. Now I am out for the return shipping. I find this a lot with Italian footwear. Italian men just need to admit that they have small feet.

Nice shoe but quality issues
- Familiarity:
- I've used it once or twice and have initial impressions
- Size Bought:
- 46.5+
- Height:
- 5' 11"
- Weight:
- 200
Completed my first 5 miles on the trails and overall felt nice. Ordered 46.5+ and I’m a US 12 and they fit well. Unfortunately I was surprised to find the stitching that holds the integrated gator together starting to come loose. By loose I mean 4 inches of stitching material backing out of a seam on one shoe and stitching coming loose on other. Disappointing as I will be returning after only one run.

Pretty Good

These are really solid, only knock is that the forward pull tab is too small to get your finger in to pull properly. They also run a bit small I'd suggest going .5 up.
