I love these boots. I've done a lot of backcountry touring with them. Pair these boots with a light ski and hiking is effortless. You can charge uphill. Some good engineering went into this boot. It's minimalist yet very comfortable and provides good support on the way down (carbon fiber is stiff). Additional weight on your feet is magnified when you're hiking and therefore the opposite is true too. I think these boots are made for racing but if you can afford the entry price this is the ticket for effortless ski touring.
