Why We Like The LEKI Helicon Lite Ski Poles
Packable and customizable, the LEKI Helicon Lite Ski Poles were built for long days chasing backcountry powder. The collapsible design lets us stow this pair in our pack when not in use, while the ultralight locking mechanism saves grams and allows us to make an infinite number of adjustments on the fly. On steeps and traverses, the extended grip offers support, and the flexible carbide tip bites into anything for precise, reliable placements.

Baskets broke after 3 days
- Familiarity:
- I've used it several times
- Weight:
- 180
Used these poles for 3 days of light resort skiing. Baskets on both poles have cracked and broken off. Backcountry says this is normal wear and tear and will not support a warranty claim to fix it. Strongly do not recommend buying these poles unless you want to frequently replace the baskets on your own cost.

Helicon Lite
Great powder pole. The swing weight enhances pole touches.

Locking mechanism doesn’t hold
I like them a lot. I was looking for a lighter frame and a bigger basket compared to my other Leki’s. However, the expandable lock on one of them does not hold. I’ve noticed that over time (3 or 4 runs) the size changes. Super annoying. I’m guessing the locking mechanism on it is faulty.

Basic and Bomber Touring Pole
The Helicon Light poles aren't fancy but for the price, they are the best touring poles out there! They are light, especially when compared against other brands similar offerings but they are tough and just work! Length adjustability is precise and they stay set. What more could you want in a touring pole?

Great Ski Pole
Great poles. Use them primarily for skiing. I'm and instructor so the ability to have an easily adjustable pole which is easy to spot on the hill is awesome. I am sure they will do great for hiking as well.

Have had a chance to use these both backcountry and on the slopes and so far they’ve been great for both, especially for the price.
