Featherweight Ultratrail FX 1 Superlite poles built for fast-paced trail missions
What Our Gearhead® Experts Are Saying:
"I was blown away by how light and efficient these poles felt during a ridge-line scramble trail race. The Trail Shark grip system lets me snap in and out without missing a step, and the carbon construction feels insanely responsive without tiring my arms out."
When the trail gets technical and the pace pushes redline, we count on the Ultratrail FX 1 Superlite Trekking Poles to keep us efficient and moving forward. Built by LEKI, these featherweight poles are fine-tuned for trail running performance with a collapsible carbon shaft that packs down in seconds and slips easily into a running vest or belt.
At the core of their innovation is the Trail Shark grip system—a 100% trail-running-specific interface that allows seamless on-the-fly attachment and release. Paired with the Shark Frame Mesh Strap, it fits like a glove and ensures direct energy transfer to the pole. A concave carbide tip delivers reliable grip across varied terrain, while the Push Button system snaps the poles together quickly and securely. At just 4.8 ounces, these poles offer high performance without compromise—designed for race day, trusted for every step.

50K with my new Leki’s
- Size Bought:
- 125cm
Having run 40+ trail ultras and watching people use poles always perplexed me. Im tackling the Telluride 40M in Aug and knew I’d need every possible oppy for this upcoming race…. I ran a 50k in a technical part of Bear Mountain NY on Saturday and NOW I understand why the Leki poles are the best. 2 days later I’d normally feel like I got run over my a car and wouldn’t be able to do stairs w/o much discomfort. The poles are a Game-Changer! I barely feel the stress in my legs as I was able to redistribute the load from legs to shoulders/arms. Helped significantly during the run, easy to get on and off and frankly they are so light there is no material slow down for weight. Highly encourage anyone reading this to buy these. Really happy with purchase and this will be standard gear for all of my high altitude/technical/hard hilly races from now on!! CAB

Needs connection collar
The carbon pole is brittle and can break unexpectedly - especially splitting at the connection points. I recommend Leki add a collar at the connections like their ULTRATRAIL FX.ONE pole. This pole is supper light, expensive, be careful with it. If new to trail running poles, start with the ULTRATRAIL FX.ONE.
