Mammut Aconcagua Light ML Hooded Jacket
The Light version of our classic is perfect for outdoor summer activities and those in-between seasons. The premium fleece made of Polartec Power Grid material is light, incredibly soft and super comfortable on the skin. The patented waffle structure offers an excellent warmth-to-weight ratio and keeps the jacket extra breathable. It also dries quickly and packs down small. The Aconcagua Light Hoody can be worn on its own or as a mid-layer when mountaineering, climbing, ski touring or hiking. The tight-fitting cut makes it easy to wear under a hardshell or insulated jacket. The hood also has a tight fit and can be worn easily under a helmet. Out in the mountains or going about your daily business, the Aconcagua Light is versatile, functional and stylish.

Early testing
Great fit. Warm and I love the hood. Still early and no big trips yet. Only used it on day trips. Works well in a harness.

lightweight and warm
Love this and the way it fits. Perfect for under my rain shell and by itself. I have people asking me about it all the time. Looks good and feels good.

Older version was much better
This jacket functions as a light fleece hoody for being active on chilly days rather than a performance-oriented layering option for climbers. A disappointment given the previous versions of this item and the price. I have two older versions of this item, which are by far my favourite performance mid-layer, much better than mid-layers from Pata or Arc. So I was very disappointed the newer version is much worse. 1) the cut of the jacket is no longer fitted, it is more like a relaxed fit rather than athletic fit. The older version fit with a very slight compression, which I look for in a performance mid-layer. 2) the face-fabric is much more fragile. After a few brushes with rock while climbing, the newer version has already started to pill, whereas my older ones have held up for 2+ years and much more abuse. 3) Missing thumb-loops from previous version.

Nice mid-layer but runs large
I got this for my husband and he absolutely loves it! Makes for a great mid-layer on cold days or as a stand-alone jacket for warmer mountain endeavours. My husband got a size M and it fits more like a L, highly suggest to size down.

Warm but delicate
This is a great sweater, the perfect weight to add through the spring and early summer. Lightweight and form-fitting makes it a great layering piece. I will just note that the material is prone to pilling. I wore it on a climb and the rock chewed it up pretty good. It didn't rip just pilled all over, could benefit from a durable outer shell for climbing I guess. Otherwise, a great piece of gear, still wear it a ton!

Great Fall/Spring Climbing Layer
Great fleece that has movement mirroring stretch. Warm yet fits tight against the body for easy layering. I wore this multiple days on our RRG climbing trip this spring, over a baselayer, under a synthetic jacket. I wore it climbing all morning, its plenty long to fit under a harness. I normally wear a medium in most brands ( 6' 175lbs, 42" chest ) but take a large in Mammut yet it still fits snug, due to the more European cut.

Functional Jacket
Just spent a week wearing this on a BC ski tour. It worked great and (like others have suggested) it's a great replacement for anything with Polartech Powergrid. Not as heavy as the powergrid but just as warm. Didn't think much of the pockets at first but they came in handy for small items throughout the day. The size L was just right for me. It fit trim (I'm 6'2" and 185lbs).
