Nordwand Pro Glove
Mammut made the Men's Nordwand Pro glove specifically for ice climbing and winter mountaineering. While most insulated gloves feel too bulky for climbing, the Nordwand Pro focuses on dexterity so you can swing axes without a hassle. Its Pittards leather shell has a supple feel that ensures full mobility for working with ice tools. Mammut backed the leather shell with waterproof, breathable Gore-Tex Grip for reliable weather protection, and Primaloft Gold insulation keeps warm with its light, lofty, compressible feel.

Amazing glove, very warm, grippy. The liner is a little loose inside. But overall a great.

Go-to gloves for winter adventures
Uses: Winter snowshoeing/hiking/scrambling at -5 to 10 C. Warmth: These are very warm for my uses, which admittedly don't go as low-temp as what others might be using them for (ice climbing). At 0 C and above they be a little too warm during intense activity. Fit: I got the 6" glove based on Mammut's size guide and they're perfect for my hand length just under 7". They're a bit of tight, but that makes them tactile when handling an ice axe and fiddling with crampons, snowshoes, etc. Quality: So far so good. No glove really survives the torrential rains of the Cascades but for snowy days and light rain they have kept my hands dry. The leather has fantastic grip and the interior is comfortable all around.

Solid Gloves
The Nordwand Pro gloves keep me warm no matter what. I've pulled them on long ice climbs, backcountry split boarding, carving out snow pits, and I pull them out around town when temperatures hit -40. I really feel confident in knowing ill keep all my fingers every time the temps drop.

Great Fit and Warmth!
Glove sizing is always a bit of a crap shoot, and the risk of being stuck with gloves that do not fit is high as there is no return/replacement policy. With that said, these fit great, like a glove, you might say! For reference, my palm to fingertip is 9", and my hand circumference is 8.5". I got a size 10 Things that stand out and that I like: >The elastic cuff and velcro tab gets the gloves under the jacket sleeve. >They are not crazy bulky, you still have plenty of dexterity. I have used them with walking poles and ice axe without issue >So far, they are hardwearing; the leather palms and fingers are standing up well >They have a clip to secure them together and loops to hang them from a carabiner All in all a great asset to have in your kit bag

Mammut Nordwand Pro Glove - Excellent grip and feel, but not very warm
Although the gloves provide excellent tactile and grip performance, they aren't very warm.

Warm and dextrous
I've been ski touring in these gloves and they've been surprisingly warm, given their construction. I've had them down around -10C with no real comfort issues. I wouldn't hesitate to push them to about -15C touring, but much past there and they would probably be too cold for me. I am excited to climb some ice in them as well - the way they are constructed leads to phenomenal dexterity. Probably solid for moderate mixed as well, but for hard mixed climbing the leather on the palm is definitely too thick for my preference.

Warmest Gloves
These are the warmest gloves on the market. Great for keeping your hands warm in below freezing wind.

I have used these gloves for 2 seasons now. Mostly I use them as my ice climbing glove, they are insulated just enough to keep my hands warm without limiting the dexterity while climbing. The leather palm takes lots of abuse handling ropes which I appreciate. I have very small hands and these are a unisex glove, I wear a size 6 in these gloves which is pretty close to a women's XS.

Great dexterity and feel but sometimes chilly
The gloves have great feel, but my fingertips get quite a bit colder than some of my other gloves.. I am primarily using the gloves for ski touring in the Wasatch and really enjoy when temps are above the mid 20's.. the gloves are very form fitting to the hand (I can see why ice climbers like). Although I complain about my hands being cold, they continue to be a regular go-to glove.

Snug fit with great dexterity
I got this glove with the intention of using it for winter, ice and alpine climbing. It turned out great for it. I can comfortably belay with them on and without to much effort manage my rope system. They kept my hands relatively dry and have help up well over the course of one season.
