The storm-proof hood uses a reinforced peak and single-pull adjustability to protect our head, while plenty of pocket space ensures all our gear has a carry option.

Great waterproofing and good DWR. So far no wetting out and good breathability, although I’ve only used it in some light to medium rain/snow. I’d prefer hand warmer pockets to the double chest pockets, but you can get that in the pro version if that’s what you’re looking for.

Well executed

Great look, very crisp! A few odd quirks: Labeled as men's but zipper pull on left, not right (no big deal, just odd); 2-way zipper difficult to unzip from bottom, due to stiffness of new fabric; Only three pockets--two large exterior, one small interior.

Arms lenght

Surprisingly, a company like Mammut designs a jacket with a disproportionate arm length. I would understand variation, but at 5-9 with a 41 chest and 33" arm length, the jacket has a 40" length...

Had enough space to keep my thinner layers with space while ice climbing and fit my helmet nicely. Pockets were spacious and out of the way, didn't use the side vents so I can't comment on them generally, but it was a great outer for a day with snow outside ice climbing

Excellent jacket

I love this jacket. The only draw back is the lack of pockets. The two chest pockets are nice but lower pockets would make this jacket a 10.

Sweet jacket just missing pockets

Absolutely love the jacket. Fits well and feels very well constructed. The no hand pockets is a real big miss though I think. Mammut usually does a great job with having harness friendly pockets which I love. Still solid

wonderful alpine jacket

it's light but tough with a great cut that doesn't lift when you raise your arms.

Great coat, runs a bit small

Nice coat, water repellant. Fits helmet well. Would recommend ordering a size up if you plan on layering.
