Why We Like The Mammut Taiss Light ML Jacket
Mammut's Taiss Light ML Jacket works for most of our mountain pursuits—from mountaineering and ski touring to climbing and hiking. The mid-weight fleece warms us up in cool-to-cold weather, and it slides under our shell easily, thanks to its athletic cut, smooth nylon finish, and thumb loops that hold our sleeves in place when we're layering. The 4-way stretch and underarm gussets give us great freedom of movement when we're climbing or skiing while the zippered chest pocket is strategically placed above our harness or hipbelt.

Great product but poor stitching
Fits well for technical endeavors but the flatlock seam stitching on the wrist is unraveling on the second wear The color and fit are great as is the function and design. It breathes very well and the thumb loops are excellent but the stitching is poor. I can’t recommend due to this. I am going to have to warranty or try to sew it myself which is unacceptable after only wearing twice.

Great but why itchy tags everywhere?!?
Love the jacket, but don't love Mammut's recent change from printed tags to sewing rough, itchy tags in the neck line that are impossible to separate out without damaging the stitching of the jacket. Same is true for several t-shirts I bought. At least put the tags on the waist line of the jacket/shirt and not the neck!

I really like it. wear it a lot on temperate days or when I think I may need one because it packs small into a bag. I just wish it had hands pockets

The jacket runs small, has no pockets and there are no returns. Do not recommend

Sometimes a hood is superfluous
Lightweight, athletic, slim fit, warm, breathable. Excellent for backcountry skiing.

Very versatile piece of technical wear.
I've owned a variety of mid layers from all the big name companies. This is by and far my favorite, it is warm and comfortable and most importantly regulates heat well. I was initially skeptical on the fit as the chest is proportionally small for the size but the stretchy material accommodates for that and makes for a flattering look. I am looking to buy more Mammut pieces as this one far exceeds my expectations.

Awesome Jacket
One of the best things about this jacket is the sleeve length. It does not come up short by the wrists, perfect for those of us with longer arms. Then with the thumb holes it works great with gloves, way less snow gets in. I have used this as a mid layer for snowboarding and I was able to wear a lighter jacket than normal. The fit is also spot on for sizing and I like the athletic cut of it. This jacket is also just a nice one to wear when out and about. It got a few compliments when I wore to work at ski resort.
