This free-standing dome tent features two D-shaped doors allow for easy in and out, as well as two vestibules for ample gear storage. Great Price Great Quality
I have not tried it yet but it should be a great extra tent to have for friends and family

Design flaw- fly repeatedly gets caught in zipper
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I ended up having to return this tent. The rain fly repeatedly got stuck in the zipper every time I zipped or unzipped it to enter or exit the tent. I didn't want to be constantly pulling the fly out the of the zipper and ultimately damaging the fly and zipper every time. This tent would benefit from better design to prevent this issue.

Better than the Aspen 2P
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Easy setup, good seams, just over 5 lb total. It’s a great tent

Well considered little tent!
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This tent was perfect for my solo glamping trip to Yosemite. Setup was easy and the color coded tabs were helpful. I liked the two vestibules and apprecited the included footprint. A couple more stakes would have been handy.

Great. Especially for price.
I carried this tent on my 3 day Pemi loop trek. Stayed two nights prior in it camping with my finance. The tent seems to be the perfect size for 1-2p without too much stuff. Kept dry, super easy to set up, especially by yourself with only a headlamp. I’d recommend something lighter for true backpacking trips, but, if you have claustrophobia issues, this tent offers plenty of room, and might be worth the 6lbs (with poles on my scale) for comfort. I’m using this as our main tent for treks less than 40 miles til I can afford something as quality but lighter.

I think I'll keep it
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Although we haven't yet been on a backpacking trip, we tried it out in an overnighter, in our backyard. We had ample room for our packs, both in the tent and the vestibule. I love the pockets and the center hook for hanging our light. I think I'll enjoy it. The rain cover was fine

Great car camping tent
- Familiarity:
- I've used it once or twice and have initial impressions
- Size Bought:
- 2 person
Bought this tent for regular car camping excursions for year round recreation in New Mexico. Have used it once for 3 day outing in Jemez Mts during which time it rained for several hours one afternoon. Tent and fly kept me completely dry. Quality zippers all around. I like the roominess & extra headspace this tent provides. 3 interior pockets allow for organization of gear. The extra height & width of the larger door make it easy to get in and out of the tent. A bit heavy for bikepacking these days of ultra lightweight gear but for car camping this tent meets all my needs. The bright orange fly makes it easy to spot too. Enough room for 2, for solo camping it’s luxurious.

Solid Tent
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The catalyst is a solid tent that offers plenty of covered space. Well constructed and is worth the little bit of extra weight it carries. One downside is does not come with enough stakes

Great functioning tent
I really enjoyed this tent from the time I set it up in the house to my first camping trip with it. Easy to set up and I like the different ways you can configure the rain fly and vestibules. Thanks for the footprint too! I can see this tent being very warm and lacks some ventilation options other than the vestibules, the roll back option of the rain fly was nice and certainly let in much needed fresh air but there's no other ventilation available. Overall a great tent to get myself back into the outdoors, looking forward to using it more.

Works So Well, We Bought Another One!
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We bought our first Catalyst 2 person tent in 2018 for our son's scout campouts. He has used the tent 5-6 times per year since. It's been perfect for him and his fellow scouts to share for several years now. When our daughter recently needed a tent of her own, it was an easy decision for us to buy another Catalyst 2. I'm sure we'll have similar success with this one.

Do you have a question about this product?
July 23, 2024
How many stakes are supposed to come with the Catalyst 2p? We received 7 and it seems like 9 are needed at minimum to stake out each of the corners, both ends of the fly, and both vestibules.

Can this be used with only the rainfly and poles as a 'fastpitch' setup to save weight?
March 13, 2024
Why in all the specifications in your tents do you not give the floor dimensions? Pretty lame that you make people have to ask a question to get the floor dimensions. That would be the first thing people are lookin for when deciding what tent to buy

I choose between Catalyst 2P and Tungsten 2P. I plan to use tent in short (2-3 days) and long (2-3 weeks) hikes. Tell me, please - which tent is better? How do they differ? Which one will be more comfortable in the wind and rain?

Can the tent be used without the third silver pole? Looking to save weight/room while bikepacking and the silver pole is longer than the others.

A tent pole broke on a camping trip, how can I get a replacement segment and how will I complete the repair?
August 17, 2023
What is the total weight?
August 17, 2023
What are the interior dimensions? In one posted answer you write: "The current dimensions of the floor are: 55" x 90.5"." In another posted answer you write: "The floor dimensions of the Catalyst 2 Person tent are: 88" x 53"."

Hello. Are the zippers on the vestibule doors two-way? Meaning are there 2 zippers on each side of the doorway, such that you can close the door fully (zip down from top with 1 zipper on each side of flap), then create vent at top of door with 2nd zipper?
July 10, 2023
Someone previously asked the dimension of the floor and was told 88"x53", but that doesn't add up to the 34.4 sq.ft listed in the specs above. Which is correct? If the latter, please provide correct dimensions in inches for the floor. Thanks very much!
