Why We Like The Marmot PreCip Eco Full-Zip Pant
The Marmot PreCip Eco Full-Zip Pant keeps wind and rain from ruining our hike, providing lightweight protection from passing showers and downright downpours on the trail. The NanoPro membrane sends water cascading away, keeping our hiking pants dry beneath the shell, while allowing moisture and heat inside the pants to escape. The full-zip sides allow us to quickly get the pants on as the first raindrops fall, and help ventilate in warmer weather. The elastic waist sits comfortably over our hiking pants, offering a secure fit so we can continue making our way down the trail.

Needs a front fly.... Pockets are useless....
Would be much better with a front fly (that would benefit both men and women...) rather than the extra weight and material of useless pockets.... We already have pockets on the pants we are wearing underneath and if you do put anything in these rain pants pockets, it just makes them slip down off your waist....

Great fit, comfortable, convenient zippers
Great fit. Simple to put on without taking off your boots, even with heavy duty boots like mine (don’t try and put boots through cuff with zippers all the way down, easy to bring zippers up to create wider openings for big boots). Nice to have pockets as well. Convenient and comfortable all around.

Great rain p Whants
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Great rain protection pants. I love the way they zip completely on both sides. That makes it very convenient to pull them off and on.

A Reliable Companion for Outdoor Adventures
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The full-zip feature of these pants is a game-changer. Putting them on while wearing heavy boots has never been easier. The convenience of being able to zip them up quickly without needing to remove my footwear is a huge plus. It saves me time and effort, allowing me to focus on the adventure at hand. One of the standout features of these pants is their lightweight nature. They are incredibly easy to pack and carry, making them a perfect choice for my backcountry backpacking trips. The last thing I want is bulky and heavy gear weighing me down, and these pants excel in this aspect. Despite being lightweight, they don't compromise on durability. The Marmot NanoPro™ recycled nylon face fabric is not only eco-friendly but also incredibly sturdy and long-lasting. When it comes to protection against the elements, the PreCip Eco Full-Zip Pants deliver. The waterproof and breathable properties are outstanding. I have worn them during heavy downpours, and they have kept me dry throughout. The fully taped seams prevent any leaks, ensuring that I stay comfortable even in stormy weather. The bonded storm flaps over the zippers are an excellent addition, effectively keeping moisture out and enhancing the overall waterproofing. The zippered hand pockets and back pocket offer convenient storage options for small essentials. It's reassuring to know that I can keep my belongings secure and easily accessible while on the move. Additionally, the elastic waist provides a snug and comfortable fit, allowing for unrestricted movement. The Men's PreCip Eco Full-Zip Pants are a reliable companion for any outdoor adventure. They excel in terms of convenience, lightweight design, and superior protection against the elements. Whether you're planning a trek in stormy weather or need a just-in-case piece in your backpack, these pants are up to the task. I highly recommend them for their exceptional quality and performance.

Good product but with flaw
Material is good, light weight, however there is no belt loop, only elastic band, therefore feels unsecure.

Excellent!
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I don’t use rain pants often, but I’m occasionally really happy to have them. These are lightweight, but the full length zippers do add some bulk. Full zip is a rare feature in this price range and was the main reason I got them. They’re easy to get on and off, even with boots and crampons, although I would practice a couple times before you actually get caught in a storm. I’m sort of between sizes in regards to length, I think I would choose the shorter one next time. But I’m not wearing these for style so it’s also not a big deal if they bunch up a bit near my boot.

Great Pants But Waaay Too Long
Really wanted to like these. I have an older pair with partial leg zips and a drawstring. Loved the full-zip putting them on and could navigate the lack of drawstring by tightening the velcro a bit, but they are super long. I'm 5' 9" w/ a 30" inseam, and the size large extended inches past my boot soles. I measured about them at about 33".

Waterproof? Then Why Am I wet?
Worn for 3 hours in 50 degrees and pouring rain. Pants beneath rain pants were wet - very wet. I just don’t understand how these can be considered waterproof. Lacking cancerous DWR coatings, is this the best that can be done for breathable waterproof - total wet out followed by actual wet?
