Why We Like The PreCip Eco Pant
It's common consensus that the forecast is often wrong, so it's a good idea to bring the Marmot PreCip Eco Pants along for a little insurance in case those blue skies turn gray. These lightweight rain pants weigh in at just under half a pound, so you'll hardly notice them in your pack if you bring them along on your day hike or backpacking trip. When it's time to pull the pants on or off, open up the side ankle zippers and easily slide the pants over your hiking boots, or open up the ankle zippers when you need a little extra ventilation. The fabric is built with a highly breathable membrane, one that will keep you dry in a storm, but also naturally vents so you can keep moving at the same pace. If you run into dense, scratchy brush that's closing in on the trail, the pants' rugged nylon ripstop fabric is up for the challenge: it's made to resist wear-and-tear so it'll get you back to camp unscathed, and keep you going through many a wet excursion.

They work!
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] These pants were recommended to me by a dog walker/trainer. They do not disappoint. In rain and snow I stay dry walking my dog. They also protect from wind. I ordered a larger size than normal so I could fit other pants underneath comfortably. Saying that, I do not even need the drawstring on the pants so other reviewers may be accurate regarding small fit. I love these and am trying to figure out other uses. Perfect.

Haven't worn them in a downpour yet...
- Familiarity:
- I've used it once or twice and have initial impressions
- Size Bought:
- Medium, then a large
Bought these for both work (landscaper) and fun weekend camping trips. I recommend ordering a size larger, unless you don't plan on layering underneath. So far, they've been great in wet conditions (ie: after rainfall, being outside and working with wet soil) but I have yet to wear them during a strong rainfall or storm. In a light rain/drizzle or in post rainfall conditions, they've been great so far!

I have not worn these in the rain, but purchased during sale for Montana winter. My mud boots and thermal underpants fit perfect under these. I love the zippers!! I’m very happy with it!!! True to size. Excellent quality and confort. Lightweight, windproof and durable.

Precip rain pants affordable and comfortable
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Precip Rain pants are waterproof in a light rain. Haven’t used them in a downpour yet. They run large in the waist. I gave this medium to my daughter who is 5’6” and 140. They fit her well over sweat pants.

I recently ordered these pants to help me stay dry during our rainy Fall and Spring seasons. I'm a little disappointed that the waist band is really tight compared to the way the rest of the pant's fit. They are quite expensive to be so far off in sizing. Since you have to wear something under them, it is necessary that the waist be designed better.

Great waterproof pants
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I love the zippers. I've taken these on several hiking and backpacking trips and they've worked will every time. The extra ounces is worth the piece of mind in not worrying about getting too wet in flash storms.

Rain and wind pants
I bought these to keep me dry walking the dog in our neighborhood and they keep me dry and protect me from the wind. I like the zipper pockets. After reading the reviews I sized up and I wish I hadn’t, they are quite baggy and a bit on the long side but they serve their purpose.

Great pants!
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] These pants are great for windy and rainy days. They are comfortable and easy to slip on. I even like them to wear on my daily walks when there is a slight breeze.

Perfect rain pants
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I'm a bike commuter in the northeast (where, as the old adage would have it, if you don't like the weather, just wait a minute). These pants are part of my everyday kit--they fit over my work clothes, they aren't constricting--I can bike in them--and they keep me dry. Couldn't live without them. (By the way... I initially ordered a Large based on customer reviews suggesting that the pants run small. I did not find this to be the case at all, and had to return the Large and order a Medium.)
