Great Fit But not Waterproof
I have bought multiple Marmot jackets over the years for me and the family. We have always been pleased with the fit and durability of their products. I bought the Refuge jacket last year because the Moment jacket I bought 5 years ago has been my go to snowboard jacket with 60+ days on it. I believe the Refuge jacket replaced the Moment Jacket in the line up. There is a lot to like about the Refuge jacket fit, warmth and smooth texture of the material but there is one glaring issue, It's not waterproof. I was caught in a rare CA downpour and spent 20 minutes in pouring rain and my jacket was soaked. Very similar results to the other review with the picture regarding waterproofing. Marmot appears to be suffering from the same quality control issue that alot of other outdoor companies are experiencing. Once the brand has been sold to a conglomerate, Newell brands, the cost cutting begins.

NICE JACKET; BE CAUTIOUS OF SIZING.
Nice jacket, well constructed. However sizing was an issue. 6' 1" tall. Waistline 38 - 40"; need to obtain the XL size for the body size, but sleeve are too long for my arms.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I like your shell jacket and pants. It is lightweight and functional. I was a bit uneasy about the hood that I never use. It turned out that it stays behind the helmet and you do not know that it is there even on a very fast run. You must have tested this configuration. The zippers are in the right places to provide venting. The liner gives it a comfortable feel.

Quality More Affordable Option w/ Great Colors
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Plenty of room with lots of pockets for everything like a GoPro, wallet, keys, phone, and lift snacks. You could even bring a ramen packet in the side pocket for lunch. The pass pocket on your wrist is always appreciated, as I cruise through the pass gate, while others are rubbing their chest up and down sensor. The pit zips come in handy for the warm days, as well as the helmet hood for those blustery days. The other day I was on a lift, that was dripping water on me the entire ride, and was protected by the waterproofing. Slightly heavier and warmer than my Gore-Tex jacket but the pocket placements remind me so much more of my Marmot Alpinist jacket from the 90's.

Warm Versatility

Dry & comfortable
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Really well made, I would consider consider the jacket to be in the middle weight category - Not a thin shell or heavy jacket. It kept me nice in dry in two heavy rain storms.

Jacket seems great, FedEx delivery is awful
Jacket seems great, but I won't get to put it through its paces until ski season. Seems well made and fit is good. It is a medium and I am 5'10", 180lb. Docked a star because of delivery. I want vendors to realize just how awful FedEx is. I am nearing the point where I will not buy things that are shipped via FedEx.
