Why We Like The Marmot ROM Softshell Jacket
We like the Marmot ROM Softshell Jacket, which stands for Range Of Motion, due to its combination of GORE-TEX Infinium and a softshell feel that stop stiff breezes and sudden sleet in their tracks. This combination also offers plenty of breathability and mobility so we can move comfortably and freely in the mountains without exposing ourselves to the elements.

Well thought out design.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I'm writer for my fussy husband. He loves this. His old rain jacket is heavy and the gortex is worn out.

Looks good, seems durable
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This a lightweight garment that protects from wind, perfect for cool weather, and for a layer in colder weather. I like that it is colorful (mine is teal and purple). It seems this will last well.

Great Breathable coat
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Great coat. Really breathable and keeps snow out on long snowy touring ventures. Really happy with the material. Recommend this to everyone and I like the funky 90’s looking color scheme.

Not What I Expected
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have an older version of this jacket, I think and it's my go to jacket most of the time, it's just a great jacket. I thought this might be a newer version of my current older Windstopper Gore jacket. I'm disappointed that none of the new jackets have any sort of reflective material on them. Also, many of the newer jackets don't have Velcro wrist adjustment which I miss because I'm a woman who prefers men's jackets/clothes most of the time for the fit and colors so my arms are a bit shorter and the velcro closure helps keep the sleeve up. That being said, I do not like velcro closure on the body because it always wants to snag up your sweater or shirt. I did not like the feel of this jacket so I returned it. I love Marmot and picked a different jacket.

Unparalleled shell for climbing
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Such an amazing shell! Firstly, the colors are unparalleled - there hasn't been a day of me wearing it in the wild where someone hasn't taken the time to compliment the colors. Performance is superb. It's incredibly breathable, but yet warm when needed. I bought this as a shell to wear one long multi-pitch routes. So for no obvious signs of wear despite heavy and constant abrasion against the hard quartzite of NC. 20/10 would recommend this to anyone!
