Why We Like The Marmot Slingshot Down Jacket

For cold days on the mountain, we zip up the Marmot Slingshot Down Jacket and head to the lift. The post-consumer recycled NanoPro fabric construction provides breathability and waterproof protection, while the 700-fill down insulation provides exceptional warmth and comfort. For added protection, hook-and-loop cuffs and an adjustable drawcord hem help keep cold air out, but If things get too hot on a sunny day, unzipping the underarm vents solves all of our problems.

Great, all-around jacket

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This jacket was exactly what I was looking for: warm without being too bulky, all weather, looks and feels good for casual or sport use. My only gripe is that the black wrist and hand covers are too long. I have to uncomfortably tuck them up when wearing the coat casually. I may eventually remove them. Overall, a great jacket.

Fabric pills and look terrible after 1 week

The fabric they used for the lining is extremely poor quality and pills after only 1 week of normal wear. The rest of the jacket is great and quite warm. The plastic zippers are not smooth, which is annoying. The lining is a major issue since it’s highly visible when wearing the jacket normally and not zipped all the way up. The rest of the jacket is great though, I wish they did not choose to use such cheap fabric for an area that’s not hidden. Bad quality. I am trying to submit a claim, but having a challenge uploading these photos.

Works Great For SC Alaska Winter

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Pretty similar to men's shadow jacket in terms of warmth, comfort and design. I am very satisfied with my shadow jacket so that's actually why I decided to get the slingshot jacket for my wife who tends to feel cold easily. She certainly loves it! When she wears it, she doesn't even need to layer too much to keep herself warm during Alaska winters. Definitely recommend both jackets.

Great resort ski coat!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I bought this as a replacement for my Patagonia rubicon from many years ago. I was looking for a warm ski coat that I could ski at the resort with out a ton of layering. Great fit, great pockets, helmet comp hood and a powder skirt. Super warm. I couldn’t have asked for more 5’5, 160 and I ordered a medium. I like the fit, could have gone with a large but wasn’t planning on layering much underneath. Lots of compliments on the hill!!

Best winter jacket is Slingshot jacket

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I bought 2 slingshot jackets. One for myself and one for my daughter. Best winter jackets for both of us. The small size for my daughter and the Med for myself. Perfect fit and very warm.

Nice but ...

Warm jacket. Has all the features of a snow sport jacket. Would prefer pit vent to have a mesh lining and not just a hole once it's opened. Zipper stuck when trying to zip up the pit vent. Not fond of the two chest Zipper pockets.
