Best warm mittens ever
- Familiarity:
- I've used it several times
- Size Bought:
- M
I've owned a pair of similar Marmot mittens for many, many years. I finally wore one of them out this winter while clearing heavy ice in extreme cold. I've bought stuff to patch that mitten so I can use those to use for heavy jobs like that, keep and the newer ones for less stressful things. The Warmest mittens are VERY SIMILAR to my old ones, but are better in that they have extra-long gauntlet cuffs to go over your jacket to keep cold weather from slipping between your jacket and mittens. They are also even warmer than the old ones ever were. The only thing I miss from the old ones are the long straps you could use to carry them on your wrists if you need to remove your hands to do something and keep from mislaying them. However, I can add those on my own, as there is a good place where I could attach my own straps at whatever length I want. The only mittens that matched these in keeping my hands warm was when I was in Finland in January, where they supplied us with heavy fur-lined leather mittens while we were out cross-country skiing, ice fishing, snowshoeing, and dog-sledding. I think these are comparable in protection and they are much lighter weight. I'm thrilled with these mittens.

Best mittens, poor sizing guide.
Two Special girlfriends Love the gifted Mittens. The sizing said that I was a small- Too Small. So I ordered Medium - Too small. I reordered Large which has been shipped. I was gifted your Mittens by a client 30 years ago- one of my most treasured winter items. These Mittens lasted for 30 years !
