Alpine 83 sneaker recraft
I love the bottoms...very sturdy when hiking. I feel the traction and know I won't slip. However, they are hard to get on, as they are " tall, high" to get foot in. This is bothersome as they aren't easy to slip on and off.

Day to night sneaker
Probably very western US formal of me, but these are the perfect day to night shoes that you always hear about for those day to night days (haha). Anyway, their perfect for taking the dogs out for walks, a quick hike, running errands, or look pretty cute in a retro sneaker way to go out for a drink, etc. Quite comfortable although I wasn't expecting them to be like a slip-on without a real tongue, nonetheless still like wearing them and how they fit and look!

Comfy but go a half size up for the right fit.
The shoes are incredibly comfortable! You will need to break in the ankle/connected tongue design a good bit. It is initially stiff but also designed to go a little high which can rub and agitate your skin even with socks. I think they’d be even more comfortable if it had more of traditional ankle padding and separate tongue.

"Recrafts" NO
I bought the "Recrafts" in the multi color. The Recrafts are designed and made weird. The tongue of the shoe is not separate. This makes the shoes impossible to get on my feet. I love the Alpine, but the Recrafts need to go!

Too hard to get on
So sad I had to return these because I loved the color and style. They were extremely hard to put on and I felt like I would hurt myself every time I tried them on. The back of the shoe also dug into my ankle because of the continuous tongue. I think if these were redesigned with a traditional rough and shoelace it would be the perfect shoe.

Poor design
These could have been fabulous shoes. I love Merrell. The opening to put your foot into the shoe is all attached. You can not loosen the laces and widen the opening to fit your foot in. If you have skinny feet with no arch, these might be for you. Otherwise these don’t work. I was so disappointed these had poor design.

Not great.
Could barely get my foot into the shoe, and the back was so stiff it would’ve rubbed a blister almost immediately. Unfortunate, because I really liked my original alpines.

Beware of attached tongue
I bought this shoe, but with the attached tongue I cannot get my foot into it. Such a cute looking shoe so I’m disappointed that I have to return.
