Great hiking shoe but size seem to have changed s
I’ve had three pairs and I love them. They keep my feet dry and good grip when walking on various terrain. My last pair were same size as previous pair but when I got them they were about half size too small. I was heading away for vacation and decided to keep them. I should have returned for half size up. I’m going to order another pair half size up as I’m certain they’ll be perfect. The ones I did wear worked out ok but my big toes suffered the whole time on our vacation. Great price and value I have some relatively new ones going into donation bin. I’m able to wear my older ones until newer upsized ones arrive.

Awesome
Awesome shoes my husband and I are Red Cross volunteers and sometimes we have to trudge through water and mud to get to peoples homes to see how much damage there is from fires. So these shoes are used every time we go out to protect our feet from all that comes with the weather and ash from fires.

Not really waterproof in the rain
I have been wearing these for three months and actually bought a second pair just in case you phase this style out, which it seems like you are going to. We got a bad downpour the other day and my feet got wet. I’m very disappointed. I wish I could Get the Moab Gore-tex Low boot in an Eight wide. It looks like you are phasing out the Gore-Tex and the waterproof low boot in this model. Not a very good business decision, I don’t think.I am going to have to search a different brand now to get a real waterproof/Gore-Tex low boot.

My go to hiking shoe.
These shoes are relatively light weight but still rugged enough for rocky terrain. The waterproof is good for rain and low water crossing. Your feet will get wet if you submerged the shoe. The material in the uppers is breathable and dried quickly. This is my second pair of these shoes. The first pair is still going, I just like to alternate my shoes. I have been hiking for a year several time a week in Boquete Panama.

Wet climate
I live in Seattle so waterproof boots are a must for my daily walks. I am on my second pair!

Comfort and performance
Comfy right out of the box, just like my last pair of Merrells that finally gave up the ghost after 10 years. Purchased for a European trip where I knew I'd be doing a ton of walking. These were perfect. My 55 year old feet and legs never ached or got tired and we walked many miles per day. Waterproof, so I was fine walking through drizzly Parisian cobblestone streets. They would be great for heavy duty hiking too. For lighter duty walking, such as on a path, I would probably pick something slightly lighter weight.

Perfection!
These fit comfortably right out of the box. I did not have time to break them in as I bought them right before a trip. Had a wonderful time hiking in the El Yunque rainforest in Puerto Rico. And they are cute!

Not a good fit for me
My feet started hurting as soon as I put them on. The arch was not in the right spot for my my feet. They are extremely rigid.

Merrell Helps the Productive Produce
The Moab 3 waterproof hikers were a gift for my daughter-in-law who, with my son, owns a small hobby farm in Missouri where they manage gardens that include pumpkins and berries, started some fruit trees, and care for ten chickens. This is the second pair I gifted to my daughter-in-law, the first of which (after much wear and tear from daily use) gave up the ghost this summer. The hikers have also been used for hiking. I'll get her another pair in 2-3 years when she wears these out.
