Why We Like The Merrell Moab Speed 2 Hiking Shoe
For running shoe comfort and agility with hiking boot support and protection, we look to the Merrell Moab Speed 2 Hiking Shoe. Now equipped with multi-directional Vibram lugs, this pair bites into soft earth and sticks to dirty rocks for confidence-boosting traction. The ripstop upper brushes off rugged conditions while letting our toes feel the breeze underneath, and the FlexPlate underfoot increases our lateral stability on uneven terrain to ward off turned ankles yet still allows forefoot flexion for comfortable climbing. No matter how far we go, the generous stack of foam pads the ground to keep our soles from getting sore.

Great trail shoe
Great for dirt trails with loose dirt, good lugs, toe box not too big or narrow, quick dry

Merrell Speed 2
Very well constructed, fit is good. The midsole is on the firm side, it would be better if the midsole is softer.

Great Shoes
One of the most comfortable shoes I have ever owned. I have hiked in the Shenandoah and Civil War National Parks. I wear them for daily running around too. Great shoes!

My 1st disappointing Merrell Shoe
I ordered a men’s size 11 medium fit Moab Speed 2 and found it to fit loose in width and the fabric on the top of the shoe to be thin and flimsy. Obviously, I was unhappy with this shoe so I returned them. I have previously ordered 10+ pairs of Merrell shoes and found them all to be a superior hiking shoes.

So far very good
Only 4 star at this time, because I really haven't given them a true test yet. But what I have done I might like better than my normal hiking shoes.

Hurt my feet
When I first tried them on they felt good. After wearing them to work 1 day, not sure I can wear them again. They hurt my toes. They are size 15 and I usually wear 14. Unfortunately I guess I’m stuck with them.

Supportive and comfortable
I have to use men's shoes as I find them more supportive than women's, and this is the second pair that I have had in a few years. They are incredibly supportive and comfortable!
