So far pretty darn good!
Turned to Merrell after learning that replacing grommets on my winter Salomons was mire than these Merrells. Tried them late fall on leaf covered ledges and steep sugar roads. Good traction and ankle support. Went sliding in 19 degrees and building wind. Feet nice and toasty. Praying fir beaucoup snow and long sniwshoe treks on my woodies.

Vibram Arctic Grip Soles , Ankle Support, Gore Tex
I purchased these boots two months ago for the main reason they offered the Arctic Grip Soles . I live in interior Alaska & I’m very active in the outdoors for work & recreation so far they have met my expectations of anti slip , warm , dry, & lightweight. In the first week of wear I decided that they were a game changer for winter boots so I ordered another for a backup just in case Merrill in the future discontinued the Arctic Grip Soles ( PLEASE DONT)

Incredible boots with one fatal flaw
These are the most comfortable hiking boots I've worn, and the Vibram Arctic Grip outsoles are incredible, I hiked multiple 14ers in winter conditions and they held up great with one very significant flaw, I wound up in situations where I was postholing in snow a couple of times, and it was consistently the case that the laces would pop off the shoes' hooks and I'd wind up with snow inside the boot. Really awful when it happened. When I went out with gaiters I had no issues, but I don't know that I would repurchase these due to this happening multiple times. If you aren't trekking through deep snow these are the most breathable, comfortable out of the box hiking boots I've ever worn, and the grip is insane, I've never needed to wear Microspikes with these boots, even on treacherous icy terrain. They're also great with snowshoes.

Good design, a quality control issue
One of the top lace clips broke off on my 2nd wear. Otherwise, I like the shoe.

Great shoe, but be careful
Overall, very satisfied with the shoes. Being a mailman walking 25kms per day, traction and waterproof are paramount, and these deliver. Only con i have come across is that the hooks catch the laces from time to time if youre not careful while you walk, causing you to trip.

Boots Not Sealed Properly
I recently purchased a pair of Merrell boots, which I was eager to try. Their appearance was quite appealing, but unfortunately, they failed to meet my expectations in terms of quality. During their first real test in a snowstorm, I discovered that they were not properly sealed, resulting in my feet getting wet.

Warm/Dry/Comfortable
I've worn these boots in the cold and rain, and they've kept my feet warm and dry. Walking for long periods, on concrete in particular, they remain comfortable.

Perfect for package delivery in the winter.
I work in package delivery, which means a lot of time outdoors and walking up to about 150 front porches each day. When the weather is cold, these are my go to work boot (in rainy weather I use the Agility Peak 5 Zero). In sub freezing temperatures these boots are marvelous. My feet are always perfectly warm. The sole is particularly grippy, perfect for slippery wooden porch steps. This “boot” is as lightweight and comfy as athletic shoes while offering great protection. I feel no urge to take it off at the end of a 10 hour shift.

Big improvement over the last version
Seems like Merrell listened to the feedback. They improved the durability of the eyelets and gaiter hook vs the thermo rogue 3s. Perfect winter hiking boots for active hikes.
