Why We Like The Merrell Nova 3 Mid GTX Hiking Boot
Merrell's best-selling trail running shoe for men now comes in an over-the-ankle hiker version, the Nova 3 Mid Waterproof Hiking Boot. More of a hybrid sneaker-hiker than a traditional hiking boot, the Nova has a light-duty build for fast hikes, urban hikes, and everyday wear. Try something else
Not as expected, hurts my ankle when I use them. Wish I went another direction, as I no longer use them

Leo’s the snow out
Spent 4 days in lots of snow in Yellowstone. One pair of wool socks and my feet were worm and dry.

top quality
Warm as soon as you step in, feels top quality in the build materials. I have only gone out in rather normal conditions but these are great hiking shoes

A for effort, that's about it
Bought the gtx version back in summer for my daily wear in town shoe. Like them at first but about three months in the sole started peeling and the and the laces failed. Compared to my very first pair of heavy duty boot that I put many peak summits away with(mid to late 90s). These novas were not that! I'll be using other means of footwear from this experience forward. Euro is gear is at the Pinnacle for a reason . Please find quality you had back in the day, again then maybe I'll be back. Not waterproof
I owned these for less than a month and had to return them because my feet got soaked. Not walking thru water, walking in wet grass.

I bought these about 3 weeks ago. They are very stable and comfortable. Just today though, the top boot lace hook popped off while tying them up :-/ so hopefully I can exchange them for another pair.
