Best training shoe
The best shoe I’ve ever owned. I love Merrell in general but sometimes the boots don’t fit too well. This shoe, however, fit perfect. I’m more of a 12 with wider set feet and the 12 worked out great for me. True to size. Running, lifting, training in this shoe has been amazing. I will never buy another training shoes again.

Happy feet
These shoes perfectly fit my feet and my expectations. The soles are, as expected, much thinner than my Moab hiking boots, so I don't expect them to last as long. I've walked about 50km in them so far, and am delighted with the mixture of foot protection and proprioception that these shoes provide.

Not very happy with my purchase. Comfortable yes. Very, very, very slippery. Walked on a wet day in a shopping centre. Nearly killed myself. Public toilet the same. Wherever its wet, problems. Also belief that my feet started sweating in the shoes. Been told Merrell is the bees knees if it comes to barefoot shoes. Not so sure.

NOT A BAD SHOE BUT NOT GOOD FOR HARD SURFACES
in starting this review i must say i have the vapor glove 5 and rate that 5star. i give the 6 only 3 stars, perhaps a bit unfairly. it is described as a light trail shoe, and i've been using it on asphalt and concrete...surfaces the vapor glove 5 are perfect for (for minimal runners). this shoe would be xlnt too except for the corrugated sole surface which makes touchdown on harder surfaces than trails, very difficult to get a good feel on. the flatness of the vapor glove 5 sole surface is simply superb for excellent tactile feel when touching down, and thus offers an ability for light impact. the rougher surface of the 6 just messes touchdown up completely, which causes more impact for minimal runners. again, it's partially my fault for not realizing this is described as a light trail shoe, but that description not well stated for the 6, so it is not my fault alone. hopefully this review will alert others running on hard surfaces that this is not the best shoe. thankfully merrell makes the vapor glove 5, which i hope they will be making a long time.
