Why We Like The Mountain Hardwear Bishop Pass Sleeping Bag

Whether we're spending a few days exploring the labyrinths of the desert southwest or hiding out at our favorite campsite in the Wind River Range, the Mountain Hardwear Bishop Pass Sleeping Bag keeps us comfortable with a perfect blend of weight and performance. The 15-degree sleeping bag is light enough for backpacking trips and warm enough for camping through the transitional seasons, giving us the flexibility to explore at our own pace in variable conditions. The Performance Plus Mummy cut provides more room to move than standard mummy bags, and the draft collar and tube help contain heat so we rest easy through the night as twinkling stars pass overhead.

Bishop Pass™ 15F/-9C Reg

We've been using the Bishop Pass™ 15F/-9C Regular sleeping bag on our outdoor adventures with my son Toby, and it’s quickly become one of our favorite pieces of gear. Whether we’re camping under the stars in the desert or hiking into chillier mountain zones, this sleeping bag delivers consistent warmth, comfort, and reliability. What we love most is how warm it stays even on those cold early mornings. The 15°F/-9°C rating feels spot-on—Toby sleeps like a rock in it, and I never worry about either of us waking up cold. The down insulation is super lightweight, packs down small (huge plus when we’re on the move), and fluffs right back up when we set up camp. The design is thoughtful too—plenty of room to move without feeling drafty, and the hood fits snugly around the head on cold nights. The zipper is smooth and doesn’t snag (which is a blessing when you're half-asleep and just trying to get cozy). We’ve used this bag in all kinds of conditions and it has held up great—durable shell, quality stitching, and it still looks new after many trips. It’s become a dependable part of our camping setup, and I’d recommend it to anyone looking for a serious 3-season bag. Perfect for adventures big and small—just ask Toby!

Best Sleeping Bag I've Ever Owned

This is the nicest sleeping bag I have ever owned. Fantastic quality. Slept warm in it on a cold night but not too hot that I started to sweat. Had plenty of space inside to move around. Excellent fill quality.

Perfect 15 degree bag for everything

Outstanding down bag that I got for my daughter's first backpacking/backcountry bag. It's lightweight enough, packs down nicely, and has just the right amount of features. Zipper operated snag free and the temp was perfect/comfortable.
