Great brand, my only trusted winter jacket
Excited for this jacket as my last mountain hardware jacket lasted 13 years, would have last longer but zipper caught inside pocket and ripped fabric. Last one I wore on north slope of Alaska hunting caribou on many trips. My only initial worry is about future wear on the sleeve, as I wish it had double layers.

Very nice down jacket, hope it holds up
Great looking jacket, comfortable and a great color. Fit is good and moves really well during activities. Only concern is the delicate zipper, I wonder how long the fine teeth and tinny zipper will last…Fabric is super soft and 800 down loft is consistent. Very nice product, just hope it holds up over time!

Didn’t like the cuffs or lack of pockets
I bought this as a layer for skiing with a Gortex shell. I returned the jacket. The lack of elastic in the cuffs and no chest pocket were deal breakers for me

Go a size up if you plan on having anything underneath
Extremely lightweight, and warm. It’s a really tight fit with only a t-shirt underneath. Go a full size up from what you normally get, esp if you plan on some layering.

None better for the weight
This is my second Ghost Whisperer jacket. My first one is about six years old and is still in great shape, save for a couple places where the stitching is coming undone (I might talk to warranty about that...). I also have a StretchDown jacket, but I prefer the Ghost Whisperer, as it provides better protection against the wind. I can layer the Ghost Whisperer with a light merino wool sweater and be plenty warm in temperatures well below freezing. It's also perfect for traveling since it's so light and warm. I love that I can stuff it into its own pocket and use it as a pillow on the airplane. It was a no-brainer to take it with on a three week trip to Ireland and France in the early shoulder season. I would buy again in a heartbeat.

A versatile tool for your pack.
This thing is such a great jacket to bring along when it might get chilly. Light enough to pack it and forget it until you need it. Looks good if you want to wear it to the biergarten too. Great for using as a layer under a shell and cool colors. I've got a few now.

Men's Whisper Jacket
I have used the Ghost Whisper Jacket for about 2 years underneath a different coat which is The North Face Summit 3 The coat fits me a little snug with a shirt over a T shirt but it works fine with just a t shirt which has held up with 2 years of use fine. I get Cold easily and do not walk fast due to diabetic neuropathy. Mainly the use of jacket is for around town or if a building is too cold. On hikes just today I used it underneath the North Face Summit 3 when it was 55 degrees along with a T shirt since I stand a lot when I am on hikes. . I had no problems with snugness Some of the time I just stood and looked at nature which would make a person more sensitive to cold. Concerning the Mountain Hardware 2 series I cannot make a comparison. Overall the Mountain Hardware Ghost Whisper Jacket has worked fine underneath my North Face size small jacket. Since I am a a size small person the Mountain Hardware Ghost Jacket is a size small. I am five foot 7 inches and weigh 170 to 175 pounds. I highly recommend the Mountain Hardware Ghost 2 series Jacket.

Light and comfortable jacket
The jacket is warm and very light. It's great to throw on when the room is cold or to wear outside. I run hot so this jacket really captures the heat and can keep me warm. Definitely a nice buy. If you're broader in the shoulders the size may be a bit small.

Perfect fit, and great temperature regulation
I'm a big guy, 6'1', 240 lbs. XL is normal size for me, and XL of the Ghost Whisperer fit perfect. I mainly am looking to use it as a mid-layer under a shell for alpine skiing in Maine where temps are very cold and wind whips you. So the fit is important--not too snug given my size, but you don't want a lot of extra bulk under the shell--this worked perfectly. (My wife says its looks good on me so an option as an outer layer off the slopes or for spring skiing.) Has kept me warm with the shell in temps in the teens and wind at 25 mph. The only addition that would be great is a chest pocket for cell phone--I have one in my shell but for really cold days, getting the cell phone more insulation would be great for battery life.
