Why We Like The Mountain Hardwear Lamina -20F Sleeping Bag
As temperatures plummet toward the negatives and most people cozy up next to their fireplaces, we pack up our Mountain Hardwear Lamina -20F Sleeping Bag to enjoy the quiet serenity of the snow-laden woods. The durable bag is fully equipped to handle all the challenges of setting up a winter camp, with synthetic Temperlite insulation that maximizes thermal efficiency and maintains heat even while wet. Bidirectional bonded insulation eliminates cold spots and is targeted to provide warmth around our core and feet to minimize heat loss overnight. We can cinch down the hood to keep warm air trapped inside the bag, and the double draft collar blocks cold air so we can sleep comfortably in frigid conditions.

Warm and comfy.
Extremely warm in teen temperatures. Soft and lightweight.

Narrow
Too small for me. I purchased the tall bag and can hardly zip myself into it for how narrow it is. I'm 175lbs 6'2 with less than 10% body fat and barely fit in the bag. Do better mountain hardware!

Good quality as we’ve come to expect from this company.
Just received. Haven’t used yet in extreme cold yet but pleased with quality so far.

Favorite bag for most conditions
Let me start by saying that I love this bag. Have used it 30+ nights. Love the synthetic fill and the construction is solid. Fit is good. It’s clearly an economy priced bag and so the features reflect that. The cinches for the face opening are a little clunky and the neck baffle is basic. But all in all, it’s a really comfy bag. The issue that costs it a star in my review is that it is absolutely and completely NOT a -20 bag. I accept the reality of what it is capable of and don’t take this one when the temps go below high single digits Fahrenheit. My assessment is that it’s awesome in the 20’s, passable in the high teens but totally not up to the task in the single digits or lower. Again, I love this bag. I just wish mountain hardware would get accurate with its rating or else actually add the fill required to make this thing an actual -20 degree bag.

Chilly feet
NOT A -20 BAG. Left my feet and shoulders very cold on a night that didn’t get below 20F.
