Absolutely Sucks
I did not read the reviews before I bought this hat. I had bought the same hat a few years ago and the quality and fit were awesome. Now these hats absolutely suck. The crown is so shallow it barely fits on your head. The quality seems bad too. I cant exactly put my finger on the issue but it is definitely different than the old ones. Im not buying mountain hardwear hats again.

Trekking Hat

Great purchase!
First trucker since the 80’s when I was a kid. Love the fit as it fits my head more like an athletic hat. It’s made very well and worth the money.

MHW Logo Trucker
I purchased a few of the previous version and they were excellent quality YUPOONG brand hats with a nice patch style logo. The new version is inferior in my opinion, but costs the same. MH made “recycled materials” the priority over quality, and it shows compared to the previous version. The new version is made by NetPlus, which I’ve never heard of for hats, but because they make the brim out of recycled materials, they got the nod. The hat just feels cheap and doesn’t look as good, and the logo patch is just a thin piece of nylon that (on mine) is slightly crooked. The crown is shallower so it sits closer to your head than the previous trucker, and the bill is a little too big for the hat. I’ve been a MH fan boy for over 20 years, but they skimped on this hat in the name of recycled materials. I’m all for sustainability, but we shouldn’t push so hard to market “recycled” if the end result is sub par.
