What Our Gearhead® Experts Are Saying:
"This tent is a perfect balance of comfort and performance for backpacking trips where space and durability matter. The pre-bent poles and symmetrical design create a spacious interior, while the dual vestibules provide great storage without cramping the sleeping area. I love that the fly can be rolled back for stargazing, and the HangTight system keeps gear off the floor and within reach. Whether it's a weekend in the woods or a longer backcountry trek, this tent is a reliable and comfortable shelter."
After a long day on the trail, the Mineral King 2 Tent makes setting up camp easy with its intuitive, freestanding design. With two large doors for seamless entry and exit, this tent is built for adventurers who appreciate both space and convenience. The pre-bent poles maximize interior livability, giving us room to stretch out without feeling confined.
Designed for all-season versatility, the tent features a roll-back fly that lets us fall asleep under the stars, while the dual vestibules provide ample gear storage and dry entry during stormy nights. The HangTight system keeps essentials within reach, and DAC Pressfit poles create a stable, easy-to-pitch structure. Lots of room, easy to setup
This is a nice tent that is very easy to setup. It has a lot of head room. I sleep solo in it and it has room for all my gear. The fly zipper snags easily but that isn't a deal breaker.

LOVE THIS TENT!!!
Great tent for what it was designed for. Lightweight but never ever for backpacking unless the Boy Scouts where they haul 60 pounds for 4 or 5 miles. This tent is the bomb for backyard or car camping. It came with its own footprint to protect the already quite durable floor. The poles are pre bent and sturdy. It freestands, which is a convenient plus for setting up, taking down, or moving it to a more level spot! The fly is simple and durable. You will want to keep the fly partially off unless you are getting rained on. The tent ventilates well, but the fly really seals it up, so watch out for condensation. This tent is the one to have!

This tent is perfect.
I did a lot of research before upgrading from the tent I inherited from my parents that was made in the 80s, and while I am certainly generally impressed by how much tent technology has improved in the intervening years, this tent has absolutely every feature I would want and nothing superfluous. It’s absolutely big enough for two people and gear. The double side entry is genius. The pockets are excellent. The awnings are great. The stargazing mesh is fantastic. 10/10 would buy again.

Minimalism
The design reminds me of early iPhone design before it got all cluttered. Elegant, well thought out, everything seems exactly right. No more, no less than is needed, the result of hours of complex creative thinking and evaluation. The result is beautiful and simple.

EASY SET UP, ZERO CONDENSATION, SPACIOUS
I bought this 3 months ago and I have used this one in Utah and Colorado San Juans. If this won’t break, this will be my car camping buddy for a lifetime. I’m asian so this tent is super spacious for me. It’s a luxury inside. I just love it so much.

Amazing tent!
This tent is perfect! Light but sturdy. Very easy to set up. The color is beautiful (not that that should matter, but...come on, it does a little :). Packs so small. I'm excited to use this on more of my mountain adventures!

Space
Great space, easy setup. Solid tent! Plenty of room for two people to sleep and hang out. You can sit up with room overhead. I’m 6”3’ and can lay down with room to stretch out.

loving it
The large doors with their own stuff pockets are wonderful. Its super easy to get in/out of the tent. It feels like a 3 man with the head space as well. If you're not looking for a 4 lb tent, but a 6 lb will do. I highly recommend this king!!
