Why We Like The PCT 65L Backpack
We load up the PCT 65L Backpack for a summer on the trail. The women-specific harness system and adjustable torso give us a customized, comfortable carry. As we trek along unpredictable terrain, the lightweight frame transfers our heavy load to our hips where the pivoting hip belt keeps it centered. When the trail steepens, excess heat escapes through the body-hugging back panel. When a side trail calls our name, we dump the weight and take the detachable daypack out for a little road-less-traveled exploration.

Awesome Backpack
Love this backpack! So many compartments to keep all my things organized. Yet lightweight and comfortable.

It's an ergonomic backpack, and I feel completely comfortable using it during hikes. The only issue, in my opinion, is that the bottom is a bit narrow.

Very comfortable and spacious pack all around
This backpack is both lightweight and durable. It has the space needed for an extended trip and tightens down for a shorter journey. The body size adjustments make for a great and comfortable fit. No complaints!

Hella Nice
I'm a 6', 165 lbs dude and have this pack and it works great. I never run out of room with this pack. Light pink and deep purple is manly. Everything super functional and well made. Absolutely zero complaints.

I took this out on it's first climbing trip on Mount Shuksan this past weekend. While I absolutely love the generous pockets and webbing... I had some serious issues with the shoulder straps. About a mile in I needed to adjust them because the internal frame was poking into my hips (I am about a size 12 for reference). After this, the velcro kept coming undone every time I would put the heavy pack on my shoulders. I don't know if there was something I was missing to secure the straps more rather than just velco, but it caused a high level of neck pain with the way the velco straps kept coming completely undone and the torso ratio be off and I had to keep stopping to adjust like every 5 minutes.

delighted and some possible improvements
-Really like the way you can access the central part of the pack without undoing the brain. That design is magnificent. -The front pouch is VERY generous and I greatly appreciate that. I can put my helmet and crampons and gaiters in there at the same time. Kind of amazing compared to not having any way to secure my helmet before, so I am really delighted by that. -There is also a ton of strapping/webbing on the outside of the pack to secure gear which is very appreciated. -Love the two zipper pouches on the brain. -Easy enough to adjust the height of the shoulder straps -very roomy side pockets for water bottle, sun screen, etc. Really like the way you can stick the water bottle in side ways to grab easier while the pack is on. Cons: -The color is not great- I feel like outdoor companies think all women in the outdoors want is pastel colors and that's simply not true. -I would say it's a little bit of a tight squeeze to get my sleeping back (in a compression sack) into the bottom portion. -Also wish there was another zipper for the bottom. - A little worried the velcro to adjust the shoulder strap height might fail at some point due to wear and tear.

The Mountain Hardwear PCT 65L Pack made it difficult to pack for our most recent trips, but in the absolute best way possible! There is so much storage I wanted to take a lot of extra items I don't normally take backpacking because I had the room! My two favorite parts of the PCT 65L pack are the external side pockets and the storage on the top of the pack. In the external side pockets I was able to fit my Helinox camp chair on one side and on the other a Nalgene along with some down bootie slippers (since the mountains are starting to feel like fall now!). The top of the pack also has amazing storage with great accessibility. There are three zippers with separate compartments. They all were easily accessible while the pack was on, my partner had no issue grabbing the map out of one of the pockets while we were hiking. My last pack was a size small and the PCT 65L I have is a M/L. With all the padded, adjustable shoulder and waist straps I was easily able to make this pack fit me properly and comfortably. I've taken this pack on a few weekend trips now and I have no complaints. Overall, I would give this an A+ pack!
