Why We Like The Polartec Power Grid Half-Zip Jacket
Whether our trek leads us to the brightest views of the changing leaves or the perfect point to drop our skis into powder, the Polartec Power Grid Half-Zip Jacket is our choice midlayer. Not only is this fleece made from recycled materials, reducing waste and energy consumption in the production process, but it's also designed in such a way that both breathability and thermal performance take priority. The grid knit creates air channels so more air can pass through without losing heat on the way out.

Thin, cheaply made. This literally ripped apart at the seems the first time I put it on. A refund would seem appropriate here.

Picked this up for the 3 passes Nepal Trek. It's a winner!. Let's air pass through for venting while strenuous hiking and keeping you warm when you stop to take a look around. Add a super light wind breaker and it is a the ultimate two piece trekking gettup!

Great layer for ice and alpine climbing.
Great layer! Wore as mid layer ice climbing and alpine climbing. Sizing fits as if its the 1st/2nd layer.

Fantastic midlayer
Excellent warmth for the thickness and weight. Thumb loops help to provide a nice seal when wearing gloves to prevent heat loss. It feels a little different under the arm pits due to the stitching but its hard to notice with a base layer on underneath and you are moving and rucking around. Neck fabric is not irritating to the skin. Overall fabric withstands friction and abrasion well.

Great
I love the color, which is purple even though is says blue. Nicely breathable and I like the thumb loops. I would like it to be a little softer on my skin as it feels a little rough

I’m have 2 of these. Solid mid layer.
I have this in two colors. One of my most used pieces of gear. Great for stand alone warmth. Great as a base layer.

One of the best fleece ever!
Polartec grid fleece has been my favorite fleece material for years. It is warm and breaths better than any other fleece on the market. MW nailed it! Great fit, good useable sized pocket, a true half zip, and a great cuff design!! Love this fleece

One of the best layers.
One of my favorite layers. Great quality fleece, warm but still very breathable. I’m 5’11” and 185 with an athletic build. Had to go with a large to get the shoulders to fit comfortably but the body is a bit boxy. The medium was the preferred body size but was tight in the lats and forearms. But still giving it 5 stars because of the fleece.

Terrific mid layer
Love the warmth and the fit-- cut closer to the body above the hips and slightly longer than others. Another great product from Mountain Hardwear.
