Kudos to this jacket!
This is an easy jacket to wear, and the performance level is amazing (I am in the outerwear design field, professional opinion). I purchased this for my boyfriend, and I ended up wearing this jacket on a 3-hour side-by-side off-road trailride. We ran into a full-on torrential downpour (with hail), which lasted about 30 minutes. Water was pooling in my lap (on the jacket). After the ride, I was fully and pleasantly surprised that this piece kept me completely dry underneath. I don't think Mountain Hardwear is marketing this as waterproof, so this performance was impressive. My boyfriend has worn the jacket on dirtbike trail rides (layered over his MHW vest) and finds the windproofness to be compelling as well. His favorite new riding jacket.

It's totally adequate.
It's a fine lightweight shell. Fits well but isn't particularly insulating not is it fully waterproof so it's hard to find proper conditions for it.
