Why We Like The Mountain Hardwear Threshold Jacket

We like the Mountain Hardwear Threshold Jacket as an all-purpose rain shell that excels in the woods and civilization. The 3-layer construction provides durable waterproofing, and the underarm zippered vents help moderate the moisture and temperature inside the jacket when we're hiking, backpacking, camping, or traveling in stormy weather. The Threshold also packs into its own pocket to take up less room in our backpack or clip to our external gear loops or harness. Waterproof, breathable, and packable, it's all we need when the heavens open up.

Comfortable but leaky

I liked the fit and pit zips of this jacket, but it did not keep my dry in the rain. I took it on a backpacking trip and had wet shoulders less than an hour after the rain started.
