What Our Gearhead® Experts Are Saying:

"The Yawn Patrol SE Sleeping Bag redefines campsite comfort. With its roomy rectangular shape, soft fabric, and 800-fill down insulation, it’s like bringing a cozy bed to the outdoors. Plus, the wraparound zipper lets me use it as a quilt or even a campfire-ready parka!"

When campsite comfort meets technical performance, the Mountain Hardwear Yawn Patrol SE Sleeping Bag takes center stage. Built with premium 800-fill RDS-certified down insulation and a soft, durable 45D nylon ripstop shell, this sleeping bag delivers warmth, loft, and packability without sacrificing comfort.

Its spacious, curved rectangular design allows us to stretch out in any sleeping position, while thoughtful details—like an interior pillow pocket and phone pocket—keep our essentials close. The dual-zipper system transforms the bag into an oversized parka for chilly campfire hangs or opens it fully to double as a cozy quilt for milder nights.

Whether we’re lounging around camp or tucked in for the night, the Yawn Patrol SE is our go-to for unmatched campsite luxury.

Most comfortable bag with great features

Most comfortable sleeping bag ever! The foot box zipper plus the ability to totally unzip is amazing. The width makes it much more comfortable than a mummy shaped bag and the fun features like a snap to keep the hood on make it even better.

Happy with purchase

Bought 2 (one left zip and one right zip). They zip together well. Love the foot openings. I’m 6’1” and the standard size fits fine. Would probably be too tight if I was wearing boots, helmet, etc. and wanted everything covered/zipped. However, would be perfect if I keep my boots on and leave the bottom unzipped - not that I expect to use it as such - just want to give reference for sizing. Good fabric feel and color - look forward to using for car camping.

Almost...

Two things: 1. The color is way off in the photos. It's more of a light mint color in person. Colors look closer to what they are in real life in the video they have up on the page. 2. The bag isn't as compressible as you think a down bag would be (maybe this is why they don't supply a stuff sack?). Tried to get it in the compression sack of a synthetic bag I had on hand and it wouldn't fit. Although it is lighter weight than most of the bags that I own so that was just kinda odd. Maybe it's the extra bulk of the shell material since it's not a mummy-style bag? So overall, It seems like s great cozy car camping bag, but the specs and photos are a tad misleading.
