Un goût d’eau effroyable
J’ai de nombreux accessoires MSR (réchaud, casserole…), 2 tentes et je n’ai jamais été déçu. Mon ancien Dromadery (10l) avait survécu à de nombreuses conditions à travers le monde. J’en avais besoin d’un plus petit (4l) pour transporter l’eau de mon chien. Il est stocké dans les même conditions que mes autres réserves d’eau. L’eau a dorénavant un goût effroyable ! Malgré un rinçage systématique, l’utilisation de bicarbonate… Grosse déception ! Après seulement 2 ans. L’ancien a près de 10 ans … Que faire ? Sinon le reste de mon matériel MSR est irréprochable.

Does the job.

Bad taste
The first season I used it I was so impressed. Durable and simple to use. But this season the bag is leaving a bad taste like a pool liner. I take care of all my equipment and it was thoroughly cleaned and dried at the end of the season. This year after the bad taste started I tried the recommended quick and deep clean that MSR suggested and it made no difference. Still leaves a bad taste in the water if it sits for more than 6h. The bag is now unusable for drinking water.

Wish this came in 2L
I'm an ADV moto rider and the 2L Dromlite fits perfectly in one of my saddlebag pockets. I wish this burlier, more robust bag came in 2L as well so I there's less risk of my bag getting punctured while riding.

Leaks
I used this on one hike and it worked great. I filled it for another hike and it leaked from the small cap. I bought a new cap and now it leaks from the large cap. Also it does not sit right until the very last tightening turn.

Bad Taste
I purchased one of these bags years ago and when I tried to use it this summer found it made the water taste so bad it could not be used for drinking. I was assured this issue was in the past by your rep on a phone call. I ordered 2 new ones and found they still make the water taste bad. Not as bad as the old ones but definitely not good.

Bad taste in bag
When I bought the bag i was excited because I have used a very similar bag in the past. This bag had a distinct rubbery smell and when I put water in it there was an off taste to the water despite multiple times rinsing. I did not take it on my trip.

Cap leaking - Suport not responding
We realy like the robustness of the Dromedary bag. Although we did not use it very often it was always reliable on our biketrips. But then, when we realy relied on it in the desert like bolivian altiplano, the cap started leaking! We wrote to the warranty support, told them how important the waterbag is for us, but did not get any answer for almost a month! The dromedary bag is supposed to be bomb proof. Bad enough that the cap started leaking, but much worse, if you have to wait so long for support!!! (By the way: The taste of the water is horrible if you keep it in our bag for longer than a few hours! We tried the cleaning with baking soda and lemon a few times, rinsed it at home with fresh water for days, dried it, rinsed it, rinsed it, dried it,... useless. The bad taste stays!) We give two stars because we stilllove the robustness of the bag (not the cap!).

Second try, both leak
The first 4L bag I bought leaked right from the time I purchased it. MSR dutifully replaced it. And that one leaks, too. I've only used it three times, and the leak keeps getting worse. I can't begin to tell you how disappointing this is.Back to a water cube for me....

Bought one already, getting ready to buy another!
I'm glad I made this purchase. I froze the bag full of water as part of my food storage plan for a multi-day river trip. This bag and some blocks of ice helped my family win the ice war, with ice in our cooler for the full seven days of our trip. Additionally, once the bag thawed, I had some great-tasting water!
