Design flaw that ruins everything.
Everything you might need in a little box. That's very convenient. But why wouldn't you make the tool out of rustproof steel? Mine was stored in humid conditions during my expedition and now it's all rusty. Moreover, the spare filter is now ruined, and some other tools are gone the same way. I'm no gear engineer but I thought that outdoor gear is supposed to be rustproof.

MSR Stove Pump
I’m a bit of a ”stovie” This kit has all the stuff you’ll need to keep your unit running. Keep in mind the latest generation of MSR stove pumps are the best. So a new pump + kit = long term success ! My first MSR stove was from the mid 70’s so this new pump (which works with it) and kit are a big improvement IMO cause tech evolves.

The everything kit
Haven't serviced my Whisperlite in at least 5 years, as it is primarily an emergency stove. This kit contains all the o-rings, springs, and assorted fittings to bring it back to like new condition.

Expensive
The kit allowed me to refurbish the stove and pump. Great. But very overpriced since I paid for many parts I will never use. The company should sell only what is needed for each stove. Saving everyone money and resources.

Not worth it for me.
The jet for my 1980’s Whisperlite did not fit. That was really the reason I purchased the kit. I used the the cleaning tool, put the little wick on and used it on a 500 mile bikepacking trip. It worked fine. I was informed I should send it in to replace the hose that attaches to the fuel bottle. I guess in the 80’s they were made of metal. I spent quite a sum for a little piece of cloth and a thin piece of wire. Not worth my money.

BSA Philmont Ready
Hitting the trail soon with a group of Scouts at Philmont, NM. Rest assured having service kit along. I work on boilers for a living and I can see a lot of thought was put into this kit. Everything is covered for any mishap during a remote, back country outing.
