Pump-pain
I very recently purchased the MSR Whisperlite International and worked so well until the pump stopped working - such a pain! And this happened when I’m about to test the stove for its first mountain expedition. I’m glad that it’s not happening during the trip but unfortunate that I need to find a replacement and it’s difficult to get one where I’m located. So the trip is on hold at this point. Wish you can help.

Fuel pump broke
This is an issue...... The plastic breaks easily. Please make a pump that can take a little outdoor use... Also please don't say it is not an issue. I had 2 pumps break 1 from just being in a bug out bag.

Stove yes, pump no.
The MSR Dragonfly stove is an indestructible engineering marvel. The flimsy, fragile plastic pump that goes with it is a piece of junk. This is my third one. The quality disconnect between the pump and the stove is striking. I love the stove; I will just keep buying replacement pumps.

Functions well, but not quite
Functions well, but not quite as easy to use as the (much) older style. Harder to fit it into the fuel bottle, and more importantly, the old style thumb wheel valve was much more robust and easier to use.

Fuel Pump & Stove legs
Very poor quality pumps at a very high replacement cost. I purchased two different MSR liquid stoves the Dragonfly and the XGK. The legs have broken very quickly on the Dragonfly and both pump have leaked around the connection with the fuel bottle. Very poor quality equipment at a high end price.

Great stove, terrible pump
The dragonfly stove is indestructible and will never let you down. The plastic pump is junk. I am on my third one. Buy two or three - you will need them in the future. Carry an extra in case yours fails in the middle of a backpacking journey.

Works wonderfully! In 2000, we bought our DragonFly for an extended camping/canoeing trip in Algonquin Provincial Park and it is still going strong! Thrilled that MSR has true replacement parts to keep the DragonFly going and that we don't have to replace with a brand new product. If we ever do, it will definitely be another MSR cook stove which will no doubt outlast us =) Thank you!

MSR gear is as good as it comes
I bought this to replace my original 1994-era pump. The new design is smart, simple and works great. MSR knows how to make good, reliable gear. Highly recommend.
