I only needed to use

I only needed to use the silicone grease; the rubber rings and duckbill valve were soft and pliable, just added a new layer of grease.

A must for serious hikers

I did a very foolish thing by not servicing my water filtration pump before a one month sectional hike on the AT. Sure enough, in my third week my pump failed. Without the help of another hiker, I would have been toast. I now have completely serviced my pump with the MiniWorks Kit and my pump is like new. I also have a backup kit in my gear. Don’t leave home without one.

What's missing?

I finally used this kit for my MiniWorks last year while out. All the O-rings had worn out. However, I bought it years ago. It had a new umbrella valve in it as the MSR site presently states. What it didn't have, at least in mine, was the spring that goes with the washer and duck bill valve. Although I didn't need to replace that, it's probably one of the easiest things to drop and lose. When I buy a new kit, I'll make sure I call MSR and have them send me anything that's missing, including the spring. They used to be real good about that stuff. Hopefully, they still are.

Has old pump working like new again!

Just what we needed to fix up our water pump. It's OLD and hasn't been maintained in years, but this kit and a bit of time and some youtube video instruction now has it working like new again.

Good as new

I've had the MiniWorks water purifier pump for nearly a decade and an o-ring failed about 2 years ago. I considered buying a new pump but was pleasantly surprised to find the maintenance kit. My pump works just like new.

I bought this because my MSR filter that I have owned for 10 years no longer worked properly. After following the clear instructions and replacing a few pieces- it's as good as new!
