Slept on these far too long
- Familiarity:
- I've used it several times
I always figured how much better could aftermarket pads be? Surely SRAM is doing an alright job making their own OE pads, aftermarket materials can't be that different. Well, after years of riding OE SRAM pads I finally tried these MTX pads. It is wild how much better they feel. Stronger bite and much quieter... the two things you could wish for from brake pads. My only regret is not trying them sooner. I'm sure everyone's experience/opinions will vary, but considering these are negligibly more expensive than the OE pads anyway you should definitely give these a try next time you need pads. Ok relatively they're 1.5x as expensive ($23 vs $35 I believe)... but $12 more for a bike part that drastically improves the performance of your bike is a no brainer. Have not ridden them enough to comment on longevity... will update my review if they wear out unusually fast, but I have not seen any such complaints online so I'm not worried about that.
