Why We Like The NEMO Tensor Extreme Conditions Sleeping Pad
When days are clear and cold, and the nighttime temperatures drop well below freezing, we want the NEMO Tensor Extreme Conditions Sleeping Pad between us and the ground. This pad offers incredible warmth thanks to four layers of floating Thermal Mirror metallic film, which reflects heat back toward our body for an impressive 8.5 R-Value. Clocking in at just over a pound, ultralight enthusiasts won't have to make tough decisions between comfort and weight on winter expeditions. Slept like a baby
Did our county search and rescue training in western Washington in January with it. It was just above freezing and rainy, like it usually it during the winters here. Worked like a charm. It’s going back out in Feb and March for more of the same. Used it with the Coda 10* bag. I went to bed wet and woke up dry.

Exemplary!
This sleeping pad is amazing. As a fanatic for winter camping and this sleeping bad is more comfortable and quieter than competitors on the market. Highly recommend for those of you who plan on camping in the mountains.

Comfortable and quiet
I slept on this pad for a week during a canoe trip this summer. It was warm, comfortable, and quiet. I loved how easy it was to deflate each morning.

Warm, quick to inflate, comfortable night's sleep
This might be my favourite pad from NEMO. The insulation isn't just good for winter, but year-round. It's easy to inflate using the supplied NEMO inflation bag, and rolls-up and packs down to the size of a water bottle. Highly recommended for anyone who only wants one mat in their quiver, or for people who sleep cool.

Best Winter Camping Inflatable Pad
The Tensor EC is a great balance of warmth + comfort in a lightweight, packable size. I have used the "regular wide" version in combination with a foam Nemo Switchback for ski expeditions in Patagonia, British Columbia, and Iceland. When skiing with a partner, we can easily fit two pads in a Nemo Chogori 2p and provide a comfortable buffer from the snow on the tent floor. I particularly appreciate how easy it is to roll up the pad to a similar size it originally shipped in--it actually fits quite easily in the bag it came in, which feels like a rarity among most inflatable pads. Would recommend this to anyone winter camping / climbing / skiing!

It's expensive..but worth of it.
I bought this three months ago. Unbelievable to compare the size, weight and the performance. It is less noisy while using it, compare to other brands. Long and wide size makes it comfy for 6.3ft tall person. Only feedback is problem with Vortex pump Sack! may be I don't know how to use it. Blowing in to it did not work well when I am cold, or after a long hiking days. Other than this, it is a amazing product.

Must-have winter pad
Very happy I grabbed one of these going into last winter. I had been doubling up, inflatable + closed cell pad, to get through my winter camping and snow cave trips. I was getting by, but the bulk of carrying it all in was frustrating. This pad was certainly not cheap but I would argue it paid for itself after one winter. Once it is rolled up with the inflator bag in the stuff sack, or just wrapped up with the nice little strap they included, it is barely larger or heavier than my lightweight summer pad. The construction and durability seem really solid. I slept a few nights with it directly on the snow and stayed warm and comfy all night. It has me starting to think I could go with a lighter sleeping bag and still be ok. The Vortex inflator bag is a little weird in that you have to blow into it to get it to inflate. However, it’s incredibly lightweight and quite efficient; 3 full bags will inflate the whole pad. The valve on the pad is fine, but I wish there was a better way to fine tune the inflation. If you want to bleed off a tiny amount of air you have to pop the valve wide open and very quickly close it back. Not a deal breaker by any means. Overall, great product, definitely lives up to its R-value. Would definitely recommend (and already have).

Is the tensor alpine ultralight the same pad as the longbow alpine offered at First Lite? Other than the color they appear to be the same.

I'm about 5'10. Should I go for the long version? It looks like I'll fit the regular mummy, but it may be a bit close.

I usually camp during winter without a tent. Is the material tough enough to withstand sleeping with fir branches on the ground or should I put the mat on the snow directly?

Does the outer fabric keep you from sliding if you are tented on a slight incline?

For the Alpine Tensor model, are there any plans to release a regular wide size?
November 25, 2020
Are there any plans to make mummy shaped versions of the pads in the Tensor lineup (both Alpine and/or Tensor Insulated)? Without the mummy shape, I can't nest 2 pads in my tent.

I was wondering if you will change anything on the Design or the Material? The little Store here in Germany told me that the mat is sold out for the year and that he can order agian in December.

Please make this pad on 25” x 72” rectangular shape.every body has it but you. I will fit my project perfect.

Hi! Is Nemo expecting to make a Wide/Regular in this sleeping pad soon? I want the wide one, but it's too long for my tent!

What's the difference between the Tensor Insulated and the Tensor Alpine sleeping pads?
