Effective Waterproofing but Tricky to Apply

Does exactly what it promises—it works amazingly well at protecting and waterproofing leather. However, the application process requires extra care. There’s a small stick in the middle of the applicator, which makes it a bit dangerous to use, especially on delicate surfaces like car leather seats. If you’re not careful, it could damage the leather. Additionally, there’s a slight adhesive smell, but it dissipates once the product dries. Despite these challenges, the results are impressive, and it’s worth the effort for the protection it provides

Its great for chrome tanned leather doesn’t seem to harm rubber lower and lasts as long as any other product, it also doesn’t seem to overly soften leather when you need a good stiff boot.

I bought the neutral formula after reading the review about it staining some clothes (I wonder if that person didn't wipe away excess like the instructions ask you to). I don't know if I would use this on ski gloves. I have used just regular leather cleaner and conditioner on gloves. I used this NikWax on two pairs of Keen leather boots and was happy with the experience. As with most NikWax products, it's essential you read the instructions.

Great product if the sponge didn't break off when bottle is half full

I've had great success with the waterproofing from Nikwax products including this one. Using this on my non-Goretex La Sportiva leather boots has kept my feet totally dry in wet snow, mud and water. The container and applicator get a good 2 stars from me since all of the applicator sponges have fallen off well before the bottle is empty making it difficult to use after that.

I purchased this to treat my gloves. After I applied this and I let the gloves dry. The following week I packed up my gear to head to the mountains. After getting to my destination, I found that the black dye in this product was all over my bright green Burton 3L AK jacket. Now I have black streaks all over my outerwear! Terrible stuff stay away!
