Seemed like a good light hiking boot, but after wearing them around the house a few times they were just too small. Felt narrow and toes were hitting the ends of the boot... Returned them..

I bought these boots for two reasons: they’re Oboz; and they were 50% off. These aren’t the latest, greatest model or style, but I’ve found Oboz to be consistently well crafted, durable, and comfortable. Backcountry does a great job offering quality gear at a significantly reduced price. They also communicate well post-purchase without overloading my inbox. A winning combo! I’ll be back.

Was skeptical because I like to see 4.6 stars or higher. Decided to pull the trigger since they were 60% off. Great deal. Just got these in today size 13 couldn't be happier on how they feel! I have a big wide foot and they fit me perfectly! The only complaint I have is that the grey rubber outsole that goes around the bottom portion of the shoe is a little darker in real life than it is in the picture. shoe Durability is yet to be seen obviously but so far happy that i purchased them!

These felt a little snug at first, but they loosen up with wear and are extremely comfortable and supportive. They aren't really a serious hiking shoe but they are very stable and versatile. My only complaint is that they don't breathe very well, so my feet sweat in them, and the laces are ridiculously thin.

I bought these to replace a similar pair of Oboz boots. Unfortunately they're too tight in the mid-foot so I returned them. Backcountry kept bugging me to review them despite the return so here you go.

Excellent mid weight boots

Comfortable right out of the box. Somewhat snug fit with the expectation of future give as wearing continues. Highly recommend

Got these for my husband. Broke them in at home and then took them all around Maine and Acadia. He loves them! His feet are so happy. And his ankle is supported too. He wears a size 10 in gym shoes and got a 10.5 in these. Fit perfect right out of the box. No issues with blisters or anything negative, really.

I’d never heard of Oboz before but I was willing to give them a try. I needed a replacement boot for my wolverine and Merrill boots that wore out after just a month of construction work. As soon as I opened the box i was taken back with the look. The gunmetal looks great and they are more tonal that the contrast shown in the photo. I put them on and was instantly impressed by how comfortable they were. My other boots needed an Ariat insole but not these. They felt like they were made for my feet. I am building myself a barndominium and spend 10-12 hours a day working on my feet. I have worn them everyday since I got them. My feet are never sore after a long day of work with these boots. I also use them for mountain biking and the tread has great grip. It is rare to find the perfect born of form and function. I highly recommend these boots.
