Why We Like The ORTOVOX Swisswool Piz Segnas Jacket
Designed to be worn under a hard shell in the mountains, the ORTOVOX Swisswool Piz Segnas Jacket provides warmth and moisture control that we can trust. The SwissWool insulation in the core and shoulders situates this jacket as one of the warmest insulators offered by ORTOVOX, while slightly less insulation in the arms and on the sides ensure that you can move comfortably through the alpine. With that warmth comes overheating, or at least it would come if it weren't for the TEC-STRETCH face fabric that breathes well to keep us cool and handles abrasion with ease.

Great all around jacket for cold days, still or active, city to backcountry. It has a lot to offer in this mere 10oz and quite packable piece. With ease of movement the jacket’s integrated elastic cords grapple your waist and will hold on to your wrists so you won’t have to worry about the jackets riding up your arm or chest while in heavy activity. The wind proofing is substantial while surprisingly rain will wet out the face fabric…however the moreno Swiss wool stayed warm when wet and did not take long to dry out. Fun fact; This swisswool jacket out of Romania is covered by the Ortovox Wool Promise. Expect excellent, odor repellent, moisture management for such a great warmth to weight ratio of 90 g/m2 (chest and back); 60g/m2 (sleeves and sides) AND rest assured these European sheep are being carefully sought after with excellent Tasmanian farmers.
