Why We Like The Aura AG 65L Backpack
The Osprey Aura 65 Backpack gives the support and comfort we need to enjoy overnight and extended stays in the wilderness. We don't end up soaked in sweat on sunny trails or warm, humid mountain valleys thanks to the cool and comfortable Anti-Gravity suspension system, which is designed to circulate air while conforming to the shape of our backs. It does this with a single, lightweight mesh panel that runs from the top of the back to the hips for a seamless design that helps enhance overall mobility.Throw in an adjustable torso size, hip belt, and shoulder straps, and we get one comfortable pack for our overnight and multi-day backpacking trips.

Big fan!
I was gifted the older model of this backpack a couple years ago as a new backpacker and it has since seen some real fun! The size is great for someone who tends to over pack and it worried about "not having the right thing". I really love the antigravity back panel, I don't feel the pack move as much while walking like you would for a typical commuter backpack. I'm still finding pockets and loops to put my stuff in. Just little features a new backpacker wouldn't know about. My only complaint about the one I have is the raincover wasn't included so I had to purchase one. I'm excited to purchase a smaller size, maybe 55L, and add the new PhotoLid to it!!

Love this backpack! I am
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Love this backpack! I am just 5'0" and weigh about 105lbs and the XS fits well. Even on my small frame, I carry the 65L with no issues. The weight is distributed nicely and I am able to hike long distances. As a solo hiker, it's important that I can comfortably carry everything I need and this fits the bill. I love the many adjustable options for straps, waist straps, etc .. that have been added. Helps me feel like the pack was made custom for me. All of the pockets are so great too for easy access when on trail. Thank you, Osprey!

Disappointed
Unfortunately, I am pretty disappointed with this new design. I retired my Aura AG 65 after 8 years and the XS/S waist digs into my rib cage and the M/L is way too big (shoulder straps and waist) even with the torso adjustment. I was excited for the upgrade especially since it included the rain cover. Sadly, I really miss the old packs that were sized differently. And I miss having the ability to stuff the extra straps into the waist belt. A huge miss in my opinion. I will have to go with a different brand or try to find the older models of this pack.

Awesome Pack
I rarely write reviews but wanted everyone to know how cozy this pack is. I'm petite at 5'1" and have struggled with finding packs that fit me. This is most comfortable pack I have used in 20+ plus years of backpacking. I have loaded this pack up with backpacking gear including my ski gear for trips. It does amazing with a large load. I went on a week long backpacking trip with three other ladies. 3 out of 4 of us used this pack. We were all different shapes and sizes but all of us loved the fit of the Aura.

backcountry price, missing flap
- Familiarity:
- I've used it once or twice and have initial impressions
- Size Bought:
- M/L
- Height:
- 5' 7"
- Weight:
- 155
Tag on back has msrp of $300, backcountry is charging more than that, a bit upset about that. Reviews of the pack show an internal flap that can be buckled down, if top section is removed, the pack no longer comes with this flap, if you remove the top part it is just the draw cord that seals the top, can’t say I love that. Otherwise seems pretty good.
