I’ve been hiking the PCT
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I’ve been hiking the PCT and my shoulders has been hurting for about the last 1500miles with a similar bag made by a different company but when I got the Eja my shoulder pain went away instantly. Wish I had gotten it sooner!!! I really notice the quality with this bag, and looking forward to many more miles hiked with it!

Pack is perfect for round two backpacker
I'm just getting back into backpacking and thru hiking after a long stint of raising kids. In my 20s, carrying 30 lbs for 30 miles wasn't a problem, but I am a (a-hem) tad bit older now. I was looking for light weight solutions that didn't sacrifice creature comforts (life is WAY too short not to carry an ultralight chair). Enter the Eja! It's one of the most comfortable packs I've ever carried. I've got my base weight down to 15 lbs and with water and food, I'm hauling between 20-22 lbs comfortably for a 3-4 night trip. We are about to do the Trans Catalina Trail and I am not even worried in the least about how this pack will perform. My only wish would be that it would have the zip opening so I wouldn't have to take everything out to get to stuff on the bottom. Outside of that, it's pretty darn perfect. I plan to do the Camino Frances in a couple of years and I'll most likely get it's younger sister the Eja 38 for that trip. Thanks Osprey!

Most comfortable pack!!
This pack is so comfortable! I carry around 30lbs on our backpacking trips. The thing I LOVE is the minimalist hip pads. Thick pads on other packs end up bruising my hip bones- but this pack has thinner pads that mold to my hips. The entire pack molds to my back, is breathable, and feels so comfortable throughout the hike. I used it as my daypack on a multi-day trip and it was comfortable as a daypack as well. I love this pack and am so happy with my purchase!

Great new design
I love the new features on this pack. I had a five-year old Eja and it had some problems. All but one is fixed with this new design. The new Eja is really easy to adjust, the straps work better, the pockets are deeper and hold stuff better, and they got rid of the abrasive material on the shoulder straps. The suspension of course is perfect. The only flaw for me is that I can't wear a tank top without abrasion to my shoulder blades. Otherwise this pack gets an A+. One other thing - beware the ordering requires selection of a size. I accidentally ended up with a M/L instead of an XS/S. It was my fault — but honestly the website wasn't clear to me.
