Fantastic pack
I originally bought this pack to walk the Camino de Santiago France, 500 miles. But, it was too tall to use as a carry on bag on the airline. I did train with it and walked a lot of miles through mountains, etc.. Very comfortable and well designed. Everything functions well.

Taken on multiple 30+ day backpacking trips!
I’ve taken this backpack to two different 30 day trips. And I have been through every single situation, terrain (minus snow), 10+ flights (a few made made check in bag) camped, hiked, walked through beaches, visited hostels. Hours in airports and this backpack is A beast. I stuff the heck out of this bag. It packs like a 50L. The top most pocket is so big. Can fit a toiletry bag and more. Still looks new, quality is superb. Passport fits perfectly in hip pockets and snacks and earbud case. Very light and comfortable. My bag was roughly 25-40 pounds at all times. Perfect for long trips (10+ days)

Great pack. Solid construction. I
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Great pack. Solid construction. I love that my back does t hardly sweat like it does with other packs due to the construction of the back materials. I’m impressed with Osprey quality. This is my first pack from this company and it looks to be the best quality materials and feels solid. I think this pack will last me a long time on many different adventures.

Needs innovating
I've had 2x Kestrel 38 models since 2010 as my GP to fieldwork backpack. These are great packs and are very durable. But some revamping is required to turn it into a workhorse field backpack. - trampoline style support is superior as per the stratos line. Employ it. - Keep the bottom divider and access, but have a full rear back opening access panel as per the new camera backpacks eg Shimoda Action, so that we can have a portable workstation whilst not getting the harness filthy. - Make the large top 'brain' portion (which I love) removable as a quick sling to use separately. Might need a flap over the main body cinch. - A specific strap to attach peak design capture clip on the shoulder straps. Happy to field test the new design for you!

I like everything about it
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I like everything about it so far. It's been on a few wet, muddy adventures and it cleans up well. It has suited my needs well. The only issue for me is that the lunch cooler bag I already had is a tight fit so I'm going to have to replace it. I am a happy customer.

Camino Frances
Worked well last year on the Camino Frances over 41 days. Easy to carry and organize over several weeks. Nothing got wet, but I had mostly light rain. No rips or tears. I carried about 20 lbs, including water. I bought the pack in 2022 and used it from April to June in France and Spain. Great pack.

A great mid size pack
This pack has a comfortable backpanel. It seems to fit nicely in the curve of your lower back. Female friendly even though it is designed for a man.

Kestrel 38
I've used this pack for everything from backpacking through Europe to multi day trips in the Rocky Mountains. My favorite all-around pack that Osprey makes and probably one of the most durable in their lineup. Would definitely recommend.
