Quick Connect Kit
With the risk of hydration reservoirs losing water through the valve, there's no doubt that water bottles are the simplest way to carry water—until you actually go to take a drink. However, Osprey's Quick Connect Kit reduces the risk of your hydration bladder losing water thanks to a mid-hose, cut-off valve, so you can sip easy while you're on the move, without having to worry about turning around to a soggy mess of backpack. This system even allows you to detach the reservoir from the hose for easy refilling at the kitchen sink or spring.

Kind of Misadvertised
Be warned: the hose is much shorter than pictured. Almost comically short, maybe 8"" or so. Why even include a hose if it's useless with any of the reservoirs this kit is advertised to be compatible with? At least if there was no hose at all, I'd have known to order one instead of now having to make a separate trip to a hardware store... On the bright side, the release button seems like a better design. Hopefully this time the hose won't get accidentally disconnected and lost.

Easy install, awesome product!
The install is easy. Cut the line wherever you want your included connection to be. The connector has an extra male adapter in it already for your bite valve hose, and the extra hose feeds to your water filtration device when needed. Quite simple! DON'T try to go to close to the bladder if you want it ""handy"" to refill. Instructions are also on the HydraPak website if you can't figure it out by my review.

Game changer
I have several different reservoirs from recent Hydraulics LT (came in my Osprey Manta 34) and going way back 20+ years. I love how easy it is to disconnect the quick connect to refill the reservoir. Before a recent backpacking trip, I saw the Osprey Quick Connect Kit and bought two. My older reservoirs can now be as easy to use as my newest Osprey reservoir. The quick connect was super easy to connect and great to customize for specific packs. When I purchased the kit, I didn't really notice that the extra male connector and tubing was going to be so perfect to attach to my Sawyer water filter. Now I don't even need to take my reservoir out of my pack to refill. I simply connect the tubing to my water filter and connect the male connector to the quick connect. Wow! What a great surprise! Both pieces make such difference - game changers. Thanks Osprey!

Epic Failure
I bought the convert kit so that I could have a quick release on my Osprey hydration bladder to make it easier to refill with the compatible connection from our water filter. The convert kit didn't come with any instructions on how to install it. There are no instructions or videos on the Osprey website or even on YouTube. My husband tackled the installation and now my hydration bladder leaks at the base valve, making it unusable. I'm very frustrated and disappointed.
